Birchwood Coffee Kǫ̀

Cozy little cafe with great breakfast and beverages. I ordered the waffle egger and large chai, definitely too much but worth it.

In town from Vancouver and was looking for a place to grab a bite and chill for a bit. The salmon bannock sandwich was terrific as was the PSL. I was hoping to find more comfy seats to kill time on my iPad. Seating was mostly tables and chairs for dining in. I think you need to be here early for their cinnamon buns as they were sold out by noon

This is a very lovely and cozy cafe that I can’t recommend enough if you’re in Yellowknife. They have a big drink and food menu and lots of alternative milk options. I had the bannock BLT and latte with oat milk, both of which were great. They don’t open on the weekend though so keep that in mind.

Lovely independent café. Friendly and helpful employees. Fresh menu items: we had the bannock BLT, sweet potato burger with kale salad, tea, cappuccino and two homemade cookies. All very tasty! Salad and sandwich topping were fresh and crisp; everything made to order and served with a smile. Busy place; casual atmosphere and obviously well maintained.

I love the breakfast cubano here. It’s surprisingly good.

I know this place is closing soon anyway, but I wanted to give them a shoutout for their delicious bannock breakfast sandwiches. Sending love from Toronto :)

The waffle was perfectly done, the London fog was the best I have ever had! Super cute coffee shop that isn’t huge and isn’t tiny, very peaceful and the staff are so sweet. Perfect for a tourist!

They have a lot of options for whatever you may want.

I just got a quick coconut Chai Latte. The service was wonderful and very kind. I came in just before closing and they were more than happy to help.

Friendly people, so warm service and their menu is inclusive and good! I went there for vegan treats they were out but there was gluten-free options.

Our orders are Breakfast deluxe, Bannock salmon, Cappuccino, ginger ale.
Breakfast deluxe & Cappuccino are very good. I recommend them.

I came here every single day during my trip for a bannock breakfast sandwich. So fricking good! I also love that they have lots of milk options for my coffee. Their lunch options are great too, perfect for something delicious and healthy that's ready within about 5-10mins.

Decent amount of tables and chairs. No wifi.

the food is sooo yummy!! Best smoked meat sammy outside of Montreal and the muffins are amazing! coffee is yummy too and staff is very friendly. cozy environment. love it here!

Really nice cafe with some great comfort food like chilli and Mac n cheese.

The coffee is very good; some of the best we have had outside Oz and the cinnamon scrolls are delicious.

It is a small place so feels busy at peak times.

The only draw back is that it is closed on a Saturday!

Had the salmon bannock. It was tastey! The Americano was excellent. The staff are welcoming and full of smiles they seem to really enjoy working here. If your in Yellowknife take time to support the local shops. This one sounds like it has a cool story behind it too!
If I lived here I would be excited to become a regular.

Delicious Eats. We had the Bannock and Egger, and also the Chicken Adobo. Good Flavours, Busy Local/Tourist Place and Easy Parking or Walking Distance from Most Hotels.

Pumpkin spice latte uses their own spice blend.. very original. Always busy and all drinks are handmade so takes awhile.

Stopped in for breakfast and had the bannock & egger - was a delicious local take on a popular breakfast dish. Coffee blend as well was one of the best I've had!

Super cute place with lots if amazing food. Coffee is seriously good. Great place to chill or take some Instagram pics.

This place is amazing! Right from the moment you walk in your senses are greeted with the warmest and savoury aromas. The Cafe has a cute cabin vibe and a beautiful friendly staff.

On recommendation from the staff I tried the Bannock breakfast sandwich and was not dissapointed. I always thought my mom made the best bannock but I was wrong - Birchwood coffee does. I also purchased a pumpkin spice lattè and had the option of dairy free.

I highly reccommend this place to everyone as a must try! I am looking forward to my return in the summer this place will be my first stop.
