Village Family Restaurant

I moved away from the Boiestown area in 1989, and I can't find clams where I live. I recently made a trip home, and a nice clam dinner was at the top of my lto do list. A family member recommended, and also brought me here.
The service was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy and the food was absolutely amazing.
The portion was very generous as well.

Friendly service, just a hiccup where one thought the other had asked if we wanted desserts, coffee or tea (I dinally went to the counter to ask and she was great!).

Had a hamburger club sandwich with cheese and upgraded the fries to curly mozza fries w/ turkey gravy. SOOOO good!!

Got the butterscotch pie (though the bottom crust was a little soggy, I ate around it, and the dry crust around the edge was to die for), and a coffee crisp square to go (I died and went to heaven when I ate it the next day...one of the best desserts ever!)

I went because friends said they had the best poutine. They weren't wrong (and I love a cheese curd poutine). I'd definitely go back!

Stayed 5 days in Doaktown and this place was always busy. The seafood chowder, double patty burger, pancakes, and homemade donuts were all excellent. (Be warned one pancake is as big as 3 pancakes each!)

Servings are massive, food is awesome. Fresh cut home fries.

Extremely friendly, fast and great service. And the food is very good! They have a nice homemade bread. Enjoyed my breakfast!

EDIT O7/11/2023 - Have now dined in twice, the large chicken in a basket was enough for three meals! I took lots of leftovers home. It is amazing! So juicy and big pieces. Not too much batter. The clubhouse sandwich is classic and perfectly executed. I am not usually a big fan of homemade fries but theirs are always crispy and not overdone. Ordered Chinese combo plates for take-out Mother's Day special and the food was delicious! Pre-ordered and it was ready right on time. Great service when dining in or grabbing take-out!

Food is excellent.fresh cooked home style.. portions are large, prices are good. There deserts are amazing

Awesome home cooked food. We had breakfast on this visit, and everything was excellent. I had the Trucker's Special, and I couldn't eat it all. I went with home fries on the grill with onions, and they were delish.

Down-home atmosphere and easy going feeling. It was nice. While I didn't have room for desert they looked DEVINE!

A bit of a wait to get our food but well worth it. The fish in the fish and chips appears to be fresh and was very well cooked. The big thunder burger was nice and crispy. The waitress was really nice and checked in several times. They have great homemade deserts as well

Wow great Chinese food just like I was back in Toronto we got the take out. Great small town restaurant with a wide selection of food.

This restaurant is my favorite place to stop when traveling to and from Fredericton. Always great service and great food. The staff are welcoming and quick to fill your cup. Just like being home, but you don't have to do the dishes.

Hands down the absolute best family diner meal I have had in a very long time! If you like chicken balls order the chicken in a basket and you will have the best around! On top of the great food our waitress, Shelley, was second to none. If your driving through Doaktown, make a point to stop in for lunch.

Great place to stop and eat.
Brought in the whole hockey team with parents and the service was quick and friendly. The food portions are very generous and the food tasted great.

Great home meals, generous portions, accommodating (made me a homemade tartar sauce due to onion allergy), amazing dessert selection & homemade bread by thier baker- she does a fantastic job. The muffins are so good.
