Gull Cottage

Such a perfect stay! The room is beautiful. The beds are so cozy, the breakfast seemed gourmet and the location was awesome. Just perfect for a stroll out to Chesterman beach to drink our coffee/tea/wine and watch the surfers and sunset on the beach. It was also incredibly peaceful and quiet. We just loved it!!

I had the worst stay ever at the Gull Cottage. It was a complete nightmare .. The host was mean, and the rooms were disgusting! There were 2 little dogs, one that went in my room and actually urinated in it! I was so sad - after a wonderful day on the beach to see that when I got back. After speaking with the host Duncan about the incident he told me that It was really unfortunate in a sarcastic way. I hated staying there and strongly recommend you never go there!

All I can say is, "Wow!" It is 10:20PM. We just came to Tofino and are looking for a room for the next two night. I've called many places and, expretedly, there have been no vacancies yet. Despite this all owners were friendly, except for this one. I don't think I have ever had anyone in the "hospitality" business ever greet me on the phone with "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?". Absolutely disgusting. I would recommend to stay away, since that is clearly what the owner wants.
