We have been going out to Deer Valley Meadows for 3 years now, and it's always an amazing experience. Mark and Cynthia are wonderful people that run the campsite. They are always friendly & go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and taken care of. The showers and bathrooms are exceptionally clean. It's a very quiet resort with no parties Al night. I have camped here alone and felt 100% safe. The Red Deer River flows behind the campground, so you can go floating down the river. I would recommend this campground to anyone. 10/10!!!!

Deer valley meadows is an amazing campground. Mark, Cynthia and the staff members are very kind and generous. Food is delicious, people are friendly and the landscape is gorgeous. The facilities are clean, the trails are great and you also get free firewood to spend good quality time with your family and your friends around the fire. You will feel like family. You can not ask for more.

Organized a Staff Retreat for our team and their families, we stayed in the Centennial Lodge which allowed for private rooms for each family unit as well as a great common area for playing games, visiting and relaxing.

The food was excellent, the staff were easy to engage with and it was great working with Mark to make this happen.

We enjoyed ziplining, archery, campfire, craft time, playgrounds, outdoor scavenger hunts and much much more.

I highly recommend Deer Valley Meadows for your group events.

What a wonderful weekend with our youth group camping at Deer Valley Meadows. Mark and his staff were fantastic to deal with. They went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly for our group. Campsites are wonderful. Shower facilities and bathrooms were always clean, fully stocked, and refreshingly hot water. This is a.beautiful little gem in Lacombe county.

I was at DVM last weekend with 80 students and leaders for a youth retreat facilities were great. Mark offered great hospitality and all the staff were yes driven, helpful, kind and accommodating. The only reason I did not give the all fives was that the food service people did not seem to be able to keep the food lines full as people were getting their food. More than once bowls were empty in the buffet line. I know they are a new team and we may have overwhelmed them with our size and the volume jr and sr high boys eat!
Highly recommend DVM!

Mark has been a great host with welcoming and fast response. He shows sincere love and care for all the retreat centre all throughout our 3 stays from church. Many clean and beautiful retreat selections and activities to choose from. We will be back for sure!

I have come here for the past few years with a fiddle camp and they are always great hosts. Facilities are regularly maintained and very comfortable, there is always plenty of food, and the overall atmosphere is family friendly. Campsites have power, water, fire pits, and a good amount of trees to give a little privacy amongst campers. Staff is always friendly and the owner is always around to ensure the most enjoyable and fun stay! I met his family and they were really kind and involved with the keeping of the camp. It’s great to see such an involved family that runs such a nice camp. Overall, it is a great place to come for a nice camping experience, no complaints.

We hosted an event at this camp over 2 days, with over 175 students from middle schools.

We had rain on the second day, and had to change a few activities, but the staff was prepared, professional, and the student’s experience was still fantastic.

I’ve run leadership camps all over the province, I’ve rented out camps all over Alberta, and Deer Valley Meadows is by far my favourite one.

The staff, the location, the activities, the food, the scenery, everything was fantastic. The English language unfortunately does not have strong enough language to full convey how satisfied I was. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I recently toured Deer Valley Meadows Camp. Working in the camp industry and seeing a lot of different types of camps, I was very impressed with their accommodation options. They had everything from cabin style dorms to family and couples accommodation. Many options included a secluded meeting area and kitchen. Their staff are very friendly and made our group feel right at home. The property is located in the country on a very attractive piece of land...the views of the river valley from the dining hall is incredible! If you are looking for a venue for a large conference, wedding, to run camp programming or hold a family reunion - you should definitely check them out.

Deer Valley is the retreat centre that we keep coming back to year after year. It is great for kids and adults alike. The newly renovated lodge is so cozy and multifunctional for retreats, family reunions, and camping. The beauty of the whole property is stunning and the people who work there are wonderful. We love this camp!

We visited in our RV last summer, and it is by far the nicest RV site I have been at. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the scenery was amazing.

I enjoy bird watching, and during my time there I spotted several dozen different species, including turkey vultures and a bald eagle.

Everything was clean and neat and tidy, and they did not charge us for firewood, or for use of the washrooms, the washer or dryer!

There is an RV dumping station onsite.

The Price was very reasonable, especially considering the free wood and washrooms.

I highly recommend this as an RV site. If you are looking for RV grounds in Central Alberta, this is the place.

We last stayed at this campground 24 years ago.We enjoyed it then but we were amazed at all the upgrades there have been when we stayed for 3 nights this last week-end.Its the most beautiful camp with stunning walks especially the walk down to the river. We stayed in the gazebo and it was very comfortable and as well as a sitting area we had a full sized kitchen and table to seat 6.The meals in the dining room were very good and we had more than sufficient.
We are in our 70's but couldn't resist the zip line and wow it was a fantastic experience.
We would highly recommend this campground. Its excellent value for money and a great place for children.
A special thanks to all the staff who work so hard and were very pleasant and helpful.May the Lord bless you all.Sincere thanks, Rose & Lawrie Pauley Elim Christian tabernacle, Edmonton

I enjoy my drive from Mesa, Arizona each year to live for several months as able at Deer Valley Meadows. It is situated overlooking the Red Deer River, just 1 mile south of hwy 11 and halfway between Red Deer and Stettler. The village of Alix is 4 miles northeast should you need a drugstore, post office, hair salon, grocery store, gasoline/propane refill, etc. The campground and facilities are topnotch in cleanliness and beauty. Meals served are well prepared, excellent in taste and nutritious. You may choose to camp alone, if you so desire. Family reunions are popular also. I definitely recommend spending time at Deer Valley Meadows.

This is one of the most beautiful places in Alberta! A great place for either peaceful relaxation or physical activity, time alone or family reunions, quiet serenity or exuberant energy - whichever fits your need. The accommodations are great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is wonderful. I love being there!

We brought a group of 20 students to the camp for a 4 day weekend. The purpose was for leadership development. Wendel Ritz did a great job organizing team building activities (races, obstacles, scenarios, etc.) to enhance the weekend. We will be back!
