Stationnement P2 - Sentiers de L'escapade

We did the full circle route from this parking lot - it's called the Escapade and is 13 or 14 km in total. It's a good trail for hiking, with very good signs (you can't get lost!) though there are some good hills and rocky parts. Because it goes up and down, and because it goes around the mountain, there's a wide variety of scenery, from birch and aspen, to marshlands, to pine forest, to maple (and maple syrup production). It's completely free, there's parking, and little outhouses at most of the parking spots.

A good meeting point, we hiked from P2 until the observation spot, passing by the cabane à sucre at P8. It took about 30-40 minutes hiking from P2 to P8 (sucrerie de la montagne); then another 1 hour from P8 to the observation point. Dogs are allowed. There’s a washroom cabin on the P2 site. Free parking, free entry!

Went shortly after the first/second snowfall of the season in November 2021. It was absolutely beautiful. Heavy snow everywhere, barely anyone on the trails, the forest sounds were muted due to all the snow. Magical experience, 10/10 would come back with my dogs and my partner to enjoy earth's beauty again.
