act 1 services

I recently had a serious mechanical issue with my engine occur just outside of Barriere. I made it (barely) to Act 1 Services, right before they closed for the weekend. The sign had already been shut off, Shane was just about to close up and head out. I pulled up, and he was kind enough to take a look even though it kept him half an hour past closing time!

He was able to troubleshoot the issue to the point of recommending that I needed to urgently head to a dealership for repairs to the engine, but had fixed my car enough that I would be able to make it safely. Shane was very easy to talk to and explained what he was doing, and he was patient with me while I was in a pretty scattered state of mind.

I am so grateful to Act 1 Services. Definitely recommend!

My friends car has split a radiator hose and we could bleed the system properly. Act 1 told us about 30 seconds after we called to “bring it over”. Seriously awesome guy with great service. In an out in 10-15 minutes and car is perfect! 11/10. Definitely stopping there if I ever need anything!

Shane is amazing. If you are new to Barriere, break down while travelling , or whatever your situation is. Please don't hesitate to call Shane if you need his services. He will go above and beyond your expectations to make sure your taken care of. I am happy to have finally found a trustworthy mechanic that provides great service every single time.

Service has been quick and professional each time I had a vehicle needing repairs. He does what he can to get my vehicle in and out as quickly as possible and is always reasonably priced. Shane is friendly, helpful, and honest.

I had a wheel bearing go on me just outside of Barrier I would like to thank the gentleman at Act 1 who's service was exceptional and very thorough. I would recommend Act 1 to everyone im very thankful

And When I walked into the Stationhouse Restaurant I Smiled Inside it was like walking into the bowlingally in Port Renfrew. I could see it was all locals so I new it was a good place to eat and be at. (Corn chowder was just like G’Ma’s)The funniest thing was when I ask our waitress Anne if we could sit and wait because our truck broke down last night and Shane the fix it man was Going to have us going by around 3 She said no problem and laugh and said you were the girls that broke down last night that called hu.. I said yes. She said Shane’s my boyfriend. I said your kidding.. I laugh and said well I’m getting serviced by the whole family.
So as I waited I chatted with a nice lady ( I can’t remember her name think it was Karen)anyways she was the hair dresser in Barriere for a few years 😉 it was nice chatting with her I enjoyed her company. So I got the call that my truck was ready So I went to pay the bill and asked Anne how far of a walk it was it only about 10 min I said eh She said no it way farther then that I’ll give you a ride. Well I took it with much Thanks because I know I would have done the same as Anne. And Anne thank you for your quick comeback, jokes and it was nice to see a good waitress for once and thanks for the ride. I could tell your are a honest person just by how you take care of your customers and your community there are two kinds of people in this world Givers and Takers You and Shane are “Givers” All the best to you both
And Shane the truck ran cool all the way to the Island and yes I ran her 120/129 all the way home to Vancouver Island.
