Rocking River Campground

It is a wonderful eclectic Gem of a campground. The attention to detail was amazing. The hosts were very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. We were at the Flamingo site that is right on the Salmo River. Wonderful views, clean campsites, quiet and peaceful place for camping. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice family owned campground. I felt like I was treated more like a guest than a customer. No partying allowed. The site I was in is probably the largest one I've ever stayed in( the 3 pics are actually all taken in my site). Nice and private site. It's a little gem that I look forward to visiting again.

Themed sites. Lovely caretakers. Only stickers for the rules we all want at a perfect campsite. The sites are themed with lovely extras like hammocks and chairs. 💜

This is the most unique, clean and friendly campground you will ever encounter. Our motorhome broke down on the highway just a few miles past their campground. When we came back into town to try and find parts we stopped in here to see if they had a big site open for us to park in until we could get the parts shipped in that we needed.  They happily made sure we had a site and anything we needed to help us out such as tools etc.  We have never stayed in a nicer,  cleaner more friendly RV site ever.  If you are ever in this area please stop in for a very unique stay with them.  Suzie, the owner and her son Shawn are the kindest people you will meet.  I would highly recommend this campground to anyone.

This campground is an absolute treasure! Large private sites, very quiet, right by a beautiful river. Our site even had a tarp for extra privacy and a hammock. Susie, the owner is a wonderful lady and made us feel like honoured guests. Highly recommend this campground!

Such a wonderful hidden gem. Susie was so welcoming and helpful to my entire family while we were dealing with motorhome problems. We loved all the themed sites, gift shop, and the property. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, kindness and allowing us to stay on your property.

I've been staying at Rocking River Campground for years and always have a great time. Suzy, the owner, is an absolute gem. She works steadfast to ensure everyones safety and that their needs are met. She also keeps the grounds tidy and maintains the cleanest outhouses you've ever. Sites are large and clearly marked, you also have access to the river from each spot. I highly recommend staying with them next time you're in the area.

This place is a gem. Beautiful campsites. If you stay down by the river, it's very peaceful to listen to as you fall asleep. There's super awesome swimming spots in the river you can jump off the rocks into the water my husband and I had a great time. Susan and her husband are truly beautiful people. They treated us like family, even though we didn't know them. The prices are more than reasonable for their hospitality. You cant ask for a better camp spot. This is their hobby they are very welcoming people. WE WILL BE BACK!!❤

Myself and my boyfriend Nathan had the most amazing, memorable stay with Susie and Wayne. The campsite is so fun and unique with different themes at each site which Susie and Wayne have worked hard at to perfect! We felt very welcome and at home immediately. The campground is a brilliant location set on the river, great price, but the friendly hosts really made it one of the best places we have stayed!

This was the second time I’ve stayed and I will keep coming back. The owner is such a sweet lady...super welcoming. The site is incredibly beautiful, private spots, gorgeous river to hang out by (or in). Although, because of Covid-19, the washrooms we’re closed, I luckily had a portable toilet and was fine for my one night. Both times I stayed I was en route across Canada and this place stood out as my favorite!

Great people own this campground and the sites are large, clean, eclectic, each to their own expression as decorated with care. Love this place!

We love this campground. Super quiet and the owners are very nice and run a great place! The river is amazing for a float and all the campsites have themes. Will be going here yearly for as long as we can.

Excellent Place for a Camp, I Tented. Sue was a Kind Women who gave me. a Great Campsite by the Rocking River. My Campsite was called the Dino-PIt and had some Cool Dinosaur themed Decor. The Site and Campground was Very Clean, and Amenities were Great, and she went above and Beyond with bringing the Wood I bought for the Campfire. I liked it and would be Back if I pass through Salmo, B.C. again. Thank You.

amazing stay this summer at the Rocking River Campground We absolutely loved spending time at this family run campground. All the lovely personalized touches were there, and it was quiet and family oriented. We will definately be back when we are in the Salmo area on vacation. thank you for your hospitality and your kindness

Have known Wayne and Sue for many many years. Some of the most friendly- hospitable people you could ever meet. Do not expect WiFi and other items like that as their site is a CAMP-SITE- not a HOLIDAY INN. For true camping, you could not ask for better. Go there to relax and get away from the TECH world

That’s a great campground run by a lovely woman named Susie. Each spot is spacious and isolated so there’s plenty of privacy and the place just looks lovely!
