The guys spent a good half hour trying to find a replacement pole for my MSR tent pole which got snapped and then helping me set it up to make sure that it all fit properly. MEC really saved me by keeping a reserve of used tent poles. Great service and knowledgeable staff!!

Bought winter boots 4 months ago. $170 that have cracked open in the front. They said they had many issues with this boot that should last 3-4 years. Gave me a store credit. for $170 so I got a new pair. That is spectacular customer service!

I had a great experience here at MEC the other day. i found everything i needed and am so proud. it is indeed a bit pricey but i needed specific things that i didn’t know where else to find. i definitely recommend and will be coming back soon enough.

Lots of great gear, good prices. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable; they clearly dogfood their gear. They even let us test-assemble tents on their floor. The store location is very convenient too. Our veritable one stop shop for anything outdoors!

The service here is excellent and the brands include many that you don't find at other stores. They also make an effort to have environmental and ethically made clothing. You won't find great sales but the prices are reasonable including the house brand which offers a good quality and price. This has become my go to place for outdoor gear.

Antoine helped me find the perfect hiking boots for almost an hour. He had no problem getting many different styles and sizes of boots for me to try on. He also advised me to take a run in my neighbourhood and then come home and try on the boots so I could see if they still fit when my feet are swollen from exercise. He was very professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Thank you Antoine!

Didn’t find what we needed or wanted but a very helpful technician gifted us with a pair of gloves that will do the dirty work of fixing our bike which he was also using and said ‘it’s Christmas, like a Christmas gift, you know?’ That made our day! I think his name was Calisto if I did not recall correctly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service from him!

Great store for apparel and outdoor activity equipment. The staff know their products well and can give you proper recommendations. Warranties and exchanges are very easy with little to no questions asked as is their policy.

Very very good bike shop.

First experience here didnt realize you needed a membership but its only 5.00 forever. The staff is really friendly and they know there stuff at least the ones i interacted with. I went for rck climbing shoes and they even has a wall for testing purposes and everything. Would obviously buy from here again.

Fantastic customer service, the employee in the backpack section spent a good 15 minutes figuring out how to make a child carrier work for me. He was kind, polite and very helpful. I’m very impressed.

Excellent shop for everything mountain related. The place is pretty big, so there is a lot of choices in the products. Staff was very helpful.

Best place in Montreal to buy or rent sporting equipment. Bought all of my rock climbing gear from here and the staff was extremely helpful. They also gave me a hidden discount for buying a complete set without my having to ask.

Tons of outdoors equipment. Staff is super friendly! Just a heads up, MEC is a coop store and you must have a member card to shop there. The card costs 5$ for life and is easily worth it.

My Ghost mountain bike developed a persistent bottom bracket issue. Thanks to the MEC warranty and excellent, tireless work of the head mechanic, Florent, the issue was fixed. Thank you again for the awesome customer service!

The best outdoors sports store for quality gear at reasonable prices. I just bought my 3rd MEC raincoat (in 15 years). They have all held up in downpours and have lasted being stuffed into a pack, washed and worn for many summers each. I wish MEC carried serious rubber boots for women - they only have cute rain boots for the city. The $5 membership is for life.

Perfect service as always. Easy exchange and returns. Sadly not all the brands I like are available through this store but still enough choices
