If you find yourself in Bathurst, NB going to or coming from the Maritimes, the Au Bootlegger is a worthy place to refuel.

You’ll find something to fuel your body and wet your whistle. The poutine was hearty and enjoyable. The service attentive and caring.

Walked into the establishment and felt right at home. The locals ordered for me and I must say they did well. I’m stuffed and full of smash burger. If for some strange reason you find yourself in Bathurst make sure you stop in here!

Had a lovely evening here. Nice variety of drinks, beers, and wines. Service was fast and friendly.

Great food. And service wad awesome. Hard to enjoy though, with people going up and down Main Street gunning their engines.....too loud. And flies, holy moly!!! Love dining Al Fresco but hate the flies ruining the experience.

This is the best bar in bathurst, super stylish, patio access right on main street, great beer selection and fun staff.

Serve popcorn as soon as you sit! Fried chicken burger was very good, and very fast to serve.

Went again for wing night, and I've been to a few places in Bathurst and these are easily the best in town!

Started with a Romanian dish of fried bread which was perfect. The main course was a smash burger and local beer. It was delicious and we really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio!

On my trip to Halifax , i stayed at Bathurst town for one night. I visited this Bar Au Bootlegger on same evening. The Food they serve( Nachos with buffalo chicken and Chicken wings ) were super delicious. The whole staff were so nice and friendly they introduce everyone from their staff to us. Felt so happy to be there. i recommend all travellers to visit the Bathurst city and Au Bootlegger Bar specially. I will visit again for sure. 🥃🥃

this is such an awesome bar all I can say is that anybody looking at a really great time come and check out this location you won't be disappointed. They're really great to get along with attractive really cool crowd of people I had so much fun when I went up there last time I can't wait to come back and see you guys again real soon thanks for everything I really appreciate everything that you do can't wait to come back up this summer and have some more fun keep up the good work guys

What an experience, I absolutely love the service we recieved here. We were greeted by friendly wait staff upon walking in. Our waitress then showed us to our table and presented us with a drinks menu, this during Covid-19 mind you, not to worry she was wearing a mask. They served us our drinks and let me tell you those cocktails are to die for, the friendly service and the amazing drinks plus an amazing outdoor patio area overlooking the street that has a very urban aesthetic to it makes this one of my favorite spots in Bathurst. When it's dark out the fairy lights on the pergola makes for an amazing instagram ready photoshoot area. 10/10 would recommend.

Hipster Ambience, but in a great way. Super cool place to have a drink (or a few). Staff is super friendly and drink selection, albeit local, is excellent! Their Rum is impressively good!

Service was horrible 3pm in the afternoon 2 tables..I waited 10 minutes before I was noticed.After I mentioned that ,service was good...however the people that came in later asked if they could get their table wiped.Young people don't have the same work ethic as when I was young:(

Great food, great staff. Will be going again.

Definitely the best gastro pub in Bathurst, great cocktails as well!
