I travelled to the lake last year in June and just looked like an any other lake as it was raining but this in July the lake looked so scenic and couldn’t take my eyes off. The waters looked just like gracious waters but swimming in the lake is not comfortable just because of plenty of stones beneath it. Otherwise it’s too good for boating or kayaking.

My absolute favorite place in the summer. Whether biking on the Okanagan Rail Trail or paddle boarding at Juniper Bay. This place is a must for anyone coming to the area.

Best lake to visit in the Okanagan. The water is a beautiful turquoise color from all the limestone. Fun place to paddle, bike on the rail trail or hike in the kalamalka park for some amazing views.

Loved the place, loved the lake. Clear water, color changing, ample parking, boating, fishing, a great place to visit! All those who are curious, there is no sand beach, it's rocky all the way so be prepared otherwise great scenic views not to be missed!

Kalamalka lake is indeed a jewel of the Okanagan Valley. Beautiful lake with turquoise-colored water. Looks unreal and out of the world. It is huge and great for water sports and activities. Kids and adults will love it equally. Must visit in the Okanagan area.

Beautiful turquoise lake at the end of summer. Tons of free parking, trails, sandy beaches and cliff jumping.

Great lake close to Vernon. Relaxing place to hang out with friends or family. On a hot day it can get kind of busy. The day we went it was smokey from the wildfires. Nice sand & has a place for boats too. The parking lot is across the street on the other side of the train tracks.

This lake is a jewel of the Okanagan. On some days it looks turquoise and out of this world. Make sure to visit it when you're in the Okanagan.

Kalamalka Lake is another large and picturesque lake we passed on our coach trip of the Canadian Rockies in August 2019. It was about an hour's drive from Kelowna, on the Okanagan Highway No.97, and just before we reached the town of Vernon in British Columbia. The lake is fed by the glaciers from the mountains around it. The waters reflected different shades of colour ranging from turquoise to indigo as we passed. I could manage to take some pictures from the bus in motion.

Kal Lake Park was great! Got in a pleasant 4 hour hike by taking a bunch of trails to make a 13km loop around the Park. Started at the Red Gate.
