Great place to come for a walk or a run. There are also picnic tables and BBQ’s if you wish to spend a bit more time here. Overall a great place with greenery to spend an hour or more enjoying nature.

Wow what a beautiful and peaceful place, there's fire pits for cooking, lots of picnic tables, portable toilets (no handsanitizer thou, bring your own always) but I really enjoyed myself there cooking with my boyfriend. I will definitely come back here. There's also a nice playground.

I have lived in Edmonton for a long time but only visited this place this summer after looking for a place to practice paddle boarding. It's just the perfect place. The lake is relatively clean and it's just the perfect place to learn. Not busy in the morning. The washroom is very clean and automated. There's a pathway around the lake, about 3 km) for a nice walk or run or bike. The only drawback is the prevalence of birds (geese) and their droppings everywhere. I guess it's their place afterall and we're just visiting.

Loved it. The bathroom was clean an they actually had one. My kids had a blast on the playground. The area was kept clean an loved that someone had painted rocks with quotes on them that my kids had fun finding. I really like that the picnic tables were big an you could have a BBQ there. The park was wonderful wish we had some of these in Saskatoon.

It stands out compare to most parks. The view of the Reservoir and the surroundings is relaxing. The 30 min to 1 hour walk on the trails is exactly what you need to unwind. They even have premium and playgrounds. And lastly, the view of the plane is incredible. Would highly recommend this park for a one-hour stroll.

Nice pathway to walk, ride bike with family and friends. The walkway is accessible to go on a stop to Tim Hortons or Dairy Queen.
And afterwards kids can play on big playground at Fred Johns park.

Nice roughly 2.5 km loop, lots of picnic tables and garbage cans, and multiple playground options for both kids and little kids

A little gem of a place! We had dinner on the picnic benches. The surrounding trees are very large and provided ample shade while eating. The park was safe and fun for my 3 younger children. No sand. The view is beautiful.

Great playground for Toddlers through to big kids. Lots of wildlife in the pond, and big trees for shade and nice that it has a bathroom.

Nice park with a nice clean playground for the young ones. There is a great paved trail around the pond that connects up with other paths. The picnic tables that are scattered around the park are clean and fantastic spots for a picnic. There are even raised fire pits for cooking. The covered picnic is available in case of downpour.

Went for a walk the other day and the views are beautiful. If you stay on the cemented path, the mosquitoes aren't as bad as walking the dirt path around the edge of the lake.

Very nice park, some great scenery around the little lake. The walk path is very nice. Not too busy and there is a really nice park for the kids to play, lots for ages 3 and older.

Tried riding Bird scooters around the lake. Ended up offroading to escape geese. Traumatic event

Playground has 3 different structures of which 2 are great for my toddler. Short 2km walk around the water as well that passes a couple small play structures.

Great mix of trails and activities for all ages. Playground equipment in multiple areas, disc golf, or go out in your boat. Choose shade or sunshine with wooded or field areas. Multiple parking locations. Poop bag stations sponsored by Bone and Biscuit and garbage cans. Walk, run or bike on paved or groomed gravel. Watch the Canadian geese and their babies.

Love Fred John's Park. It is a bit longer than 2 miles all the way around. The geese always come here. Love them. There is once in a while a coyote, so keep your dog's on a leash & close. It is quite, serene, & lots of fresh air. 😁💞
