Capital Information Kiosk

Located on Wellington and Metcalfe st (route 89), facing Canada's Parliament Buildings, is the Capital Information Kiosk.
This is where you can find lots of free maps and tourist attraction information, advice and brouchers to help guide you on your trip to Ottawa. Staff are friendly and offer services in French and English. They usually have people that can also speak other languages too.

Free tickets to Parliament of Canada tour starts here. Come early, because the lines are long and tickets are limited per day.

No need to queue here for ticket. Simply book the ticket online via visit.parl.ca and find the availability. The ticket is free. You can only visit Senate and House of Commons for now. Center Block is under construction and not open for public for 10 years. Crazy?! Right!

Tickets for the free tours of the Parliament buildings can be obtained here but they go very fast so line up early. Be sure to grab a copy of the self-guide booklet called Discover the Hill to better appreciate the many attractions within the Parliament, including monuments and public art. If you are carrying a big bag, be sure to deposit it here before going to the tour or you won't be allowed in. The bilingual staff here is friendly and competent, patiently answering all questions from visitors. There is a restroom at the basement of the building.

Bloody life saver this place. After walking up and down the hill all day. Ice cold water fountain to refill bottles and public restroom. Plus you can sit or mill about upstairs. Our party would never have made it to La Machine without our stop here.

Capital Information Center is a place you should visit in Ottawa. On the second floor, you will find very good view of the Parliament Hill that you won't find elsewhere.

Come early (be in line optimally before 830 - doors open at 9) to snag the specific time you'll need. Staff are friendly and helpful!
