Great food for a great price! We first came here three years ago and the quality is still the same. They have good options, and the food is simple but homey and delicious. I highly recommend the big wonton soup! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Ottawa. They don’t seem to have a washroom available (at least when we went), but otherwise it was really awesome!

The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely a hole in the wall place that is worth returning to. I get that it's not a fancy business, but it would have been nice to be greeted. People were pretty grouchy.

Wontons (essentially dumplings) that don't cost an arm and a leg - homemade, fair amount of filling, and very generous proportions! 🤤🤤

If you want some authentic Chinese food in Ottawa, this is the place for you. Both the wonton soup and noodle soup are good! This restaurant is very affordable. Definitely recommend!

Super friendly family owned establishment. We ordered won ton soup, beef noodle soup and marinated tofu. Everything was delicious.

The won ton soup was very filling and the won tons were tastey. The tofu was also very flavourful. The quantity was amazing for the price.

The place might look a bit old but it is clean, and you can't beat the quality and the price.

Pre covid prices for food and it’s delicious?? It’s truly a great place to go and the portions are big! I really enjoy the wonton soup, peanut noodles and pork noodle soup.

They also don’t skimp out on the toppings like many restaurants have been doing recently. As a Chinese person it wins my approval! <33

Absolutely fantastic little hole in the wall joint serving authentic cold/hot noodle dishes and dumplings. Not much for ambiance or seating but the food speaks for itself.

Amazing food for an outstanding price. Food is either carried out or dine in. The noodles were phenomenal, and the wontons were great with a tremendous value for dollar/per-wonton. I will be back.

Tasty tasty tasty dumplings and noodles. Great value for the money. Generously sized servings. Not the best decor but you are here for the good food and value especially on a cold day, nothing hits the spot like a big bowl of wonton in a steaming hot broth!

This was the first time trying Shanghai Wonton Noodle Restaurant and I'm so happy we did! Not only is it super affordable - you also get LARGE portions. There was enough for atleast two meals and cost $13 in total. The steak was SUPER tender and seasoned well. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was not to salty and was very flavourful. The broccoli stems were also very well cooked. This would be the perfect meal for lunch, dinner or late night snack. The only thing lacking would be a little upgrade to the seating/restaurant atsmophere with decorations. Would happily return to eat here again.

Soul food, just what I needed. Wonderful simple little wonton house. Had the pork and mushroom which was delicious. Broth is not too oily which is just like home cooking.
Definitely give it a try, especially as the weather gets chilly.

Hidden gem, I absolutely love this place and it's my go-to whenever I'm downtown and i'm feeling hungry. Prices are amazing for the portions you get and you get amazing service here. If you're dining in there's a selection of seasoning on the tables for you to customize the food to your liking. This place is authentic Asian food and you get plenty of tasty flavour in your food!

A big filling delicious bowl of dumpling soup for only $10... its cheaper than McD, but way way way tastier. And the place has got soul

We got Beef Hot-Dry Noodle w/ Sesame Sauce and Pork Shepherd’s Purse Big Wonton Soup. The Noodle came in a HUGE portion, mixed with Sesame Sauce, Pickled Radish, Peanuts, Scallions, topped with tender Beef slices, LOVED IT! The Wonton here were INSANELY GOOD, authentic Shanghainese Style with a thicker wrapper, loaded with Shepherd’s Purse (type of Chinese Veg) mixed in Pork, Wood Ear Mushroom slices, HOLYMOLY, almost teared up while eating it!!
