One of the most powerful places I have been by far. Peaceful. The walk up during the winter and then walking down the path and coming to the first lookout and seeing the sheer size of the cliffs.
Amazing and I think everyone should defiantly come check this out. One of my favourite provincial parks

80 minute drive from thunder bay. Had the pleasure of visiting today. Its a rather short hike to both lookouts. One was 400 meters, the other lookout is 350 meters. Absolutely breathtaking views. Worth the drive. I believe the park fee was $5. Definitely worth a stop. There is also the suspension bridge and zip lining 15 minutes away, down the road.

This is literally one of my very favorite places. It is a day park dedicated to a geological wonder. It is a way to protect this wonder, not a way to get your cash. I read the reviews and am disturbed by how many people never visited it, but thought they did. This is not Eagle Canyon. It does not have zip lines or a bridge over it. It is not overpriced as one person incorrectly stated. It will not take up your whole day but is unquestionably worth the visit.

Breathtaking views of one of Ontario’s best kept secrets.

Just a short walk from the parking area, along some very well maintained trails, you will find yourself taking in an amazing, sweeping view of the second biggest canyon outside of the Grand Canyon south of the border.

Kids loved it.

Bring a camera for sure.

Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend you check this out. Truly a wonder of this world, the grand canyon of Canada! Who knew!? Views are spectacular and its about 1km on easy trails from the parking area. There are two lookouts on site and a couple additional "unofficial spots". No admission, Ontario Park passes required but no booth or reps on site. This is managed by Sleeping Giant Provincial Park 20min down the highway, you can come direct to Ouimet canyon without need to check in or anything; I only mention this as if yoy happen to call the phone number listed on Google they'll answer from Sleeping Giant. For future knowledge of anyone coming through with a camper trailer, YES you can manage fine to get into the park, it's a narrow 2-lane road (9km in from the Trans canada), there is a trailer/RV parking area about 1-2km before the summit upward to the final parking area. It's recommended to drop your trailer or RV as the hills beyond this are fairly steep grades, technically not impossible though. There is posted sinage of the trailer/RV lot area. I wish I knew this beforehand as I wanted to drop my trailer off and check out the scenery, the rep wasn't entirely sure on the phone, so I made a separate trip a day later after backtracking my route, just to find out I could have dropped my trailer in the park! Public restrooms on site, no booth park guard on site, souvenir building closed and has postage signage to go to Sleeping Giant for souvenirs.

Beautiful place. Not real sure how anyone in a wheelchair would access most of the trail to the viewing platforms, but the viewing platforms themselves, the bridge, and a small boardwalk are truly accessible. Short hike! Quiet! Remote wildreness! Saw bears on our drive in! Vault toilet only. No hand sanitizer.

This provincial park contains a short loop hike with absolutely spectacular views!

A few placards describe the geology of the unique canyon, the sub-arctic flora that can only be found here south of Hudson's Bay, and the mythology of the stone head visible on the canyon.

Beautiful place! Truly like no other. Two dollars per person (honor system). Two lookouts, 1km trail (min walk in and out). One of them is wheelchair accessible. Beautiful canyon. The magnitude of it is breathtaking. Worth the drive.

We stopped here whilst driving the Trans Canadian. It takes about an hour off the highway when including the the drive and walking the circuit. Great views, well worth stopping. Although we visited early morning and the sun wasn't great for photos.

Absolutely stunning, insane marvel of nature. Some cool stuff to learn also on some plaques, very easy drive from the highway just a 15 min detour, 30 min round trip from the highway. Very worth it. It’s 2$ per person, in an unmanned deposit box, but it’s worth supporting this place if you can.

Spectacular breathtaking panoramic views of 150m wide gorge and 100m tall cliffs. Canyon floor is similar to the artic floor 1000km north.
Day use only park.
The skies were not clear due to smoke from forest fires.

Absolutely gorgeous canyon. Short little walk through the trees. Approx 1.8kms. Very easy, not challenging at all. Different look out points. The views are so beautiful. I could visit this place every year.

There’s a spot to pull over to detach your trailer and then another 3km drive in to the parking lot of the trail head. The park store is currently closed due to covid 19. The canyon itself is a short hike and a stunning view. Definitely worth checking out.

I can only imagine how beautiful this park is when it is not covered in fog! It was beautiful with it, and we could barely see anything! I highly recommend that people stop on their tour and take in the beauty.

Take some pictures, then take in the beauty! It’s well worth it.

Absolutely breathtaking. You can park close to the trail of approximately 1km. It goes in a loop and takes you to a view viewing points that are absolutely beautiful. There are multiple displays that discuss the significance to Aboriginal people. I wish I had more time to explore the park since I'm sure there is lots more to offer.

It's an easy hike, unless you go late April after 3ft of snow that they didn't clear. So you can't drive up to the park but rather snowshoe 4km up a steep slope. Beautiful view would recommend

This nature reserve is easy to visit and has excellent trails. A picturesque canyon and interesting data on the formation of this canyon

Short hike that is absolutely worth the $2 donation box!!! I visited in mid-September and some of the leaves were just starting to turn. The canyon is breath-taking, and if you let out a good holler, there's a fantastic echo!
The trail itself is easy and well maintained. Additionally, the road up to the park is hilly and curvy, which makes for a fun drive. There's also ample parking and washrooms with pedestal-style toilets.

Another ‘must see’ when exploring around Thunder Bay. The walk is easily done in an hour. Spectacular views. Well maintained viewing areas and walking paths. Very family friendly (pet friendly too!). Highly suggest doing Ouimet Canyon, Eagle Canyon and the Terry Fox Memorial as a day trip (all just east of Thunder Bay).
