Amazing bookstore that also serves good coffee and genuinely tasty food! One of my favourite places to hang out in the area. Only flaw is limited hours!

My photos don't do it justice! You have to go upstairs to see all the books! And I didn't get a shot of their delicious sandwiches or butter tarts...

We absolutely love this place. It's a great place to stop in and eat, relax and have a warm drink and shop for books. The food is delicious, the selection of books are amazing and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The outside grounds are really pretty too and you can walk down to the river in the back.
Oh and they have butter tarts that are so yummy!

This is such a gem!
We were travelling home from the cottage and are we soooo happy that we found this place!
Peter was such a wonderful host and his wife (I wish I caught her name) makes AMAZING food!

We had soup, sandwiches, hot chocolate, apple cider & 2 apple cheesecake treats.
Everything was priced very reasonably and presented beautifully! The cafe is such a vintage, cozy atmosphere I loved it. It felt like home. And the books were astonishing!

This will forever be on our list of stops on our way home from the cottage.

We can’t wait to see you again in June!

Super cute spot. Went on a date with my bf. We both found a lot of books that came home with us. Beautiful old buildings. So many books and crammed with books! Some yummy food, too. Will visit again!

Exceeded lunch expectations!! 1/2 sandwich option: Thick-sliced homemade bread, lots of tuna, fresh salad, delicious French fries! Pecan tarts highly rated--perfect amount of filling.

The wide book section in a quaint old mill space with water running from window-view is an added bonus!!

I come here for the amazing atmosphere and book selection but most importantly… the tuna melt! The tuna melt here is one of my favourite foods from a restaurant or cafe ever! The owners are also very kind, if you havent been you must come here!

What a wonderful place to visit! So many unique and interesting books, we could have spent the whole day there. Everything we had from the café was delicious and we even got a tour of the book sections after we were done eating. Definitely a must see!

Really great spot! There are thousands of books to look through and the building still has all its historic charm making it one of the coolest book stores I’ve walked through.
We ate food from the cafe and sat and worked at the table; the food was delicious!!
Everyone was super friendly and welcoming!

I absolutely adore the entire place - I definitely recommend exploring the grounds and the gardens and sitting by the creek with your new acquisitions after browsing carefree (probably for hours) through a meticulously categorized but also delightfully disheveled collection of every book you could ever want or need.

For example: 1970's houseplant books about Monsteras, ethology (animal behaviour), treasured children's books, out of print sci fi... 😍

Magical. A hidden treasure!!! We found this place by accident when we were looking for a quick lunch on a road trip. It ended up being the highlight of the entire vacation. This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime places. It's so rare and beautiful. The food is fabulous, and the service was wonderful. I will never forget this place, and will purposely chart our path on our next road-trip so we'll have to pass by again.

He visited on a Saturday afternoon after a cold wet hike with our daughter and son-in-law and their two young children. A nice selection of hot drinks, a plate squares and a big serving of French fries; shared by the wood fire warmed everyone's spirits. I also found a classic paperback at a bargain price.

This place is such a gem. Beautiful old building with an expansive collection of used books. The people who run the place are extremely friendly and the food is simple, tasty and reasonably priced. Would recommend taking your meal and eating on a bench in their riverside seating area. In my opinion, a must visit if you’re ever in or near Williamsford.
