There are a few places in this world that are nearly impossible to cultivate. Petite Anse, on Isle Madame is one of them. It is an absolutely spectacular spot on the north Atlantic where arable soil is hard to find. They created shelter belts and shipped in soil and straw to create this little paradise. All the plants in the garden are edible or medicinal. You can purchase anything from vegetables to medicinal salves and knitwear. There is even a play garden for children!

A very special spot in a beautiful location - amazing preserves, vegetables, knitted items and much more! This is clearly a labour of love and it's great to see such dedication and fun brought to intensive gardening in tiny spaces. Definitely a must-do if you are in the area of Isle Madame/Petit-de-Grat!

Quaint little spot on the end of a picturesque road. Amazing garden with veggies and flowers galour. Loved the whole vibe: living fences, hot pink caravan and children's garden❤🌻🙏

We'll worth a visit if you like scenic seashores, interesting plants, unique gardens, and welcoming proprietors. The garden girls are great.

Wow. What a place to happen upon. Great garden. Great place to hang out for a bit. We might have to go back tomorrow for some salad.

This was a surprise detour on the GPS but I absolutely don't regret it. Picked up a brambleberry syrup made there I can't wait to try.
