Cozy decor, amazing homemade oatmeal jam cookies (my husbands favourite), and cinnamon roll (my favourite). Got two bars of handmade lavender soaps as well, very reasonable price (4$ each), they smell amazing. It’s great to find some local artisan crafts. Excellent wifi service & super clean washroom. Highly recommended

Excellent stop in this beautiful place. Fill the car with gas and our guts with delicious food and coffee. Genealogy information inside for Acadian families. Really good coffee roasted on site.

Stopped in by chance. Glad we did. Coffee was was excellent. Med roast, great flavor. Very friendly service. The baked goods are to die for. This is a must stop.

Had a lovely stop here. Fantastic coffee and the cakes are just delicious. Friendly service and a clean toilet. Don't be put off by the gas station, this is a little treasure if you want a good coffee and a cake. We detoured from our trip in hope of a good coffee and are very happy with the results. There is a nice little seating area outside as well as a seating area inside.

... actually, there is nothing to add to all the other 5- and 4-*-reviews except one: try the seafood chowder - it's THE top on the menu - absolutely delicious ! Thanks to both girls serving us food and the tasty Cafe Latte! We did enjoy our break during the Isle Madam-trip, which is also a highly recommended tour - just follow the Fleur-de-Lis Trail, and you won't miss the beautiful look-outs as well as La Goelette e Pepe. 😉

I'm not that familiar with the area, but have been by La Goélette a couple times recently, and it really is a cool little spot. Do yourself a favor and sit in for your coffee and snack, there's a lot of cool local history in the dining area. The staff are all very friendly, coffee is great, and they have a good selection of baked goods. Don't let the fact that it's also a gas station fool you - it really is a great little Cafe.

Such a gem on Isle Madame! We got sandwiches and chowder to take for our picnic at the lighthouse. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We didn’t take advantage of it ourselves, but there is a nice bit of outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend!

Really the only place I buy made food at in the area - an absolute hidden gem, you wouldn't expect the local Gas Station to double as THE BEST COFFE SHOP (they roast their own beans) AND BY FAR THE BEST RESTAURANT AROUND!

They have specials sometimes, but every day there is good food there - especially for vegetarians which around here, there is not much in those types of options

I love this place! Their chai latte is so good. I'm glad they don't over sweeten their drinks to crowd please, as alot of coffee chains around here do.

It's just as good as any cafe in the city. The only true barista style coffee around here. You can get Cappuccinos and lattes etc. That may sound mundane but alot of places in rural Cape Breton don't go beyond drip coffee.

I send people here all the time at my work. I work at a tourist hub, and we constantly get people asking where to get good coffee. This is it. This is the place I reccomend to all the tourists, because I'm local and I love it.

Yes, there are real bakeries in Eastern Cape Breton! La Goélette à Pépé is the real deal, with a pastry chef who knows her business and makes fantastic scones, cookies, and candies! Oh, and the coffee is amazing!

Make the 15-minute detour of the highway, enjoy the great scenery of the picturesque Ile Madame and get yourself some tasty comestibles!!

I've never got gas at a café before. Great atmosphere and great scones. Only negative was a senior tried to set me up with a local girl who was NOT having it. Neither was I, of course, but I still couldn't believe it happened. Apologies to her for being too surprised to say anything... Not that you needed me to as you handled it yourself admirably.

I think the girls are absolutely fabulous friendly kind service. Every time you walk in the door I highly recommend Them.

Amazing spot to stop for good food with a view.

Look for: amazing bagle breakfast sandwiches, panini lunches, baked goods and friendly staff. We will be back.
