Le Buck : Pub Gastronomique

Best place to eat in Trois Rivieres: really nice atmosphere and great service.
The menu offers a variety of typical dishes of the area, all of great quality. I particulary reccomend the beef.

Fabulous dining experience on a lovely patio with friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food! I has the canard et crevette. Superbly cooked and the duck was beautifully. Accompanying vegetables were fresh and delicious. My partners meal - porc ribs - were also delicious and well prepared. Desert was also freshly made and nicely flavored. Wish they featured a more local wine - only international choices.

Stopped off at Le Buck on our way to Quebec City.

The restaurant had cool jazz playing in the background. A blend of people in suits and casual attire.

We ordered the duck with fois gras and the bison as mains.

The duck was grilled perfectly with a nice crisp on the outside. Mixed with the selection of vegetables around it made the entire dish very fresh and true to the “farm to table” aspect. The fois gras was the best part of it all. It packed a punch of flavour with a very soft texture that was pleasant all throughout.

The bison dish was complimented well with chimichurri and was cooked medium rare.

The palenta was the highlight of the dish in my opinion. It was smooth, rich and flavourful. Accompanied with vegetables, it reminded me of the Mandolorin. The highlight was to be on the main character, but grogu (baby yoda) stole the show.

Desserts - we got the strawberry and the chocolate. I’m a big coffee fan so I thought I’d enjoy the chocolate/coffee dessert more… the strawberrry dish was packed was flavour, texture, and a lot more aesthetic.

Totally made our stay in Trois Rivières worth it (b/c we actually could have continued on our journey). The homemade bread was spot on with excellent crust and proper center texture. It’s accompanying herb butter was just the right balance. The oysters were from New Brunswick…really fresh, fantastic when we typically do not like oysters. The tomato tartlet was a unique mix of flavors. The halibut was perfectly cooked with lightly flavored sauce/broth. Chocolate dessert, raspberry dessert, and bacon maple whiskey shooter were all winners…really we would have tried the entire menu if we had another day or two. The bar is fully stocked…a lot of microbrews and specialty drinks, also great non-alcoholic drinks. A true gastronomique pub!

Upon arriving the restaurant was full but they accommodated our party of 4 by seating us at the bar. We were served by friendly entertaining staff who were knowledgeable, funny, and well trained. Anthony and Chuck instantly made us feel welcome and appreciated. We cannot wait to return to the area and this restaurant to enjoy the ambiance, food and friendly staff. A real gem!!

Excellent food! I was in Trois Rivières for the Cirque show but would travel back to go to this restaurant again.

After a long day of travelling I stumbled onto this unassuming looking pub. It was deceivingly unremarkable from the outside, but once inside it was stunning. It had a large patio surrounded by foliage that gave the impression of a garden. I was solo so I sat at the bar, which was well stocked with microbrews, and cocktails. I had the poisson de moment, which was a fresh locally caught sturgeon, on a bed of savoury lentils and roasted cauliflower. It was fantastic! I also had the fish taco as an appetizer, which was equally good. The staff was very knowledgeable and went out of their way to serve me. They got me an English menu, which I didn't really need, but was nice to have. I highly recommend Le Buck.

Food and service were both amazing. I brought my two 11months old baby with me and we had a great experience. They had high chairs and free brunch for kids on Sunday. Definitly recommend this place

Le Buck is the top restaurant in Trois Rivieres, the food is amazing, all the personnel were friendly and helpful. Couldn't find anything wrong. The lime cheesecake truly unique and delicious.

Located in an old building from the 18th century, this restaurant's got a funky menu that you need to try.

Loved the place. Deer burger was awesome. Bacon whiskey shot is a liquid orgasm.
