Loved the peace and quiet that Terre & Neige provided while still being so close to Ottawa.

You get breakfast every morning and the ingredients are fresh & delicious - Julia even baked fresh sourdough one morning and let me take home the leftovers!

My favourite was the wood fire hot tub - divine on a cold clear night so you can watch the stars. It’s also dog friendly so I could bring my pooch Hank :)

Highly recommend for some tranquility.

We visited Julia and Will for a few days in April and our stay exceeded all expectations! The surroundings are gorgeous and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The cabins (yes we were lucky enough to experience two of them!) were spacious yet cozy, decorated with taste, the beds were super comfortable and everything inside was spotless! Julia brought us a delicious breakfast every morning, all housemade, super generous, and flavor-packed, the basket went back empty every single time! We also enjoyed the wood fire hot bath available, it's truly a unique experience to be in nature, with the sweet smell of fire burning, wrapped in hot water, we spent a lot of time in it! All this to say, Terre & Neige over-delivered for us! Julia and Will are truly passionate about the experience they work hard to offer and we can only recommend for you to check them out!

Perfection! We stayed at C2 in November, a dreary month - the views are gorgeous, and peaceful and far-away feeling, the cabin elegantly minimalist and comfortable, yet warm and welcoming, and the food! We had full board - breakfast lunch and dinners - and it was astonishing. Delicious, beautiful! And the soak under the stars in the snow was a dream! And we thoroughly enjoyed the playlist too! Cannot recommend enough! The hosts are lovely, you feel so cared for and they’re wonderful to talk with, but you also feel left to yourselves. We will be back! R&S

We had a great weekend with your 18m daughter in the A-frame cabin.

The cabin is cozy and decorated simply with taste, and has all the essential amenities and more. Rusticity meets modernity.

The surroundings are beautiful, and we really enjoyed our breakfast and dinner baskets, the food is delicious.

What an wonderful escape! Will and Julia have curated an exceptional experience within such a short drive from the National Capital Region. Our family stayed in beautiful cabin C2 and enjoyed the many little luxuries made available, from the soaps to the linens and ever so comfy bed. our daughter loved using binoculars to look for songbirds in trees, and the woodburnign soaker tub was just perfect. Surrounded by an abundance of nature's beauty, we took a nice hike to Lac Castor and stopped along the way to drink in the many serene views of Val Des Monts.
Breakfast served by Julia in the mornings was super delicious. Sourdough bread, the croissants, jams , coffee all sublime. We were definately spoiled!

Can't wait for our next visit!

Luxurious and private cabins situated beautifully in nature. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious and made from the best local ingredients. Julia and Will were perfect hosts. Their attention to detail was excellent. We will definitely go again.

We recently stayed at the Terre & Neige A-Frame and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy vacation close to nature with great eats. It had everything we were looking for! Outside, we enjoyed the wood-burning tub, relaxing by the firepit, and exploring a couple of neighbouring trails (watch the weather and bring waterproof shoes/boots, if needed - it was a little muddy and wet after a few consecutive days of rain), and we look forward to visiting the lake in our next visit. Bonus: it's dog-friendly too and our energetic dog had a great time sniffing the grounds and trails outside (on-leash only).

The cabin was well-equipped with what we needed for our stay - cooking supplies, cookware, plates and utensils, soaps, towels and toiletries.

Will and Julia are such gracious hosts. From the friendly greeting and walkthrough, to the GENEROUS hand-delivered, homemade meals - we could really feel the passion in their craft.

Julia adjusted some recipes to her meals after learning of additional dietary restrictions on our day of arrival, which was so appreciated. The meals were very filling - we ended up taking some leftovers home because they were too delicious to leave behind.

I'm already thinking of our next visit!

We booked our stay in November to celebrate our birthday in March, thinking the snow would be perfect for skiing and/or snowshoeing. We were wrong - winter didn't deliver this year but it was a blessing in disguise because we decided stay put and enjoy all that the A-frame had to offer. It's a perfect place to practice slowing down because in order to fully appreciate and take advantage of the cabin you have to be engaged in lighting a fire and keeping one going. Whether it's in the wood stove in the cabin, the fire pit outside or the wood burning hot tub, all of it required time and attention - it was sublime. Julia's breakfast baskets are included in your stay, but I can't stress enough how truly decadent it is to treat yourself to every meal she has to offer. Order them all. Every night. Order her meals - you will not be disappointed. You will be spoiled and indulged and satiated. Bring containers for the leftovers because you won't want to send anything back. Terre & Neige is a slice of heaven and the meals Julia provides are part of the experience. Treat yourself.

We stayed at T & N for the couple of nights following our wedding in Ottawa, and we could not have picked a better place for post-wedding relaxation! We stayed in the A-frame, everything in it is so well thought out, everything is such high quality and comfortable. Julia's breakfast baskets were super delicious and filling, and the dinner basket was out of this world. If you're planning on staying at T & N and are on the fence about getting a dinner basket, I highly recommend the add-on, it brought our experience to the next level! WIll and Julia are super friendly, helpful and down-to-earth. Wish you both the best and I'm sure you'll be seeing us again, would love to explore T&N during other seasons too! Thank you!

We’re so pleased to have been back with Julia and Will!

Our stays are always too short. Once again we were greatly impressed with the friendliness, courtesy, and thoughtfulness of Terre et Neige. This attentiveness is wonderfully experienced in the interactions with our hosts. But, over and over again, it is reflected through the presentation of the property, the quality of the cabins, the comfort of the furnishings and linens, but most joyfully through the food and its presentation. We will certainly miss the superb breakfasts and food baskets.

Our hosts were very warm and engaging; effectively pointing out elements of the facilities, explaining how things worked and then releasing us to enjoy the magical forest escapes! It was a stroke of genius to provide the wood-fired hot bath as a comfort as we examined the winter night sky!

Terre et Neige has a distinctive and admirable vision that is presented with enthusiasm and energy. Julia and Will have taken a beautiful forest location and created such enchanting spaces for the enjoyment of the natural beauty and harmony.

Julia and Will have created an incredible retreat in the forest. Beautiful cabins and Julia's cooking is exceptional (seriously, it's next level). It felt wonderful to just stop and take a much needed pause in such comfort. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants/needs to get away.

If I didn’t have photo evidence from our visit, I would be totally convinced that I made this place up in my dreams - that is how magical Terre & Neige is. I haven’t been able to stop sharing stories about our experience with friends and family and recommending a visit. It was just that special. The hospitality that we experienced from Julia and Will was world class, truly unlike anything we have encountered before. We stayed in the A-Frame and were welcomed warmly by Will who graciously provided us with a tour. The cabin was stunning and brimming with intentional details, like beautiful dinnerware, an inspiring selection of books, and a curated playlist to enhance the peaceful forest vibe. The wood-fired hot tub is so unique - we enjoyed soaking in it at night while gazing up at the stars. And oh my, the food! Julia is an exceptional chef - we were completely blown away by the level of care, talent and generosity that she put into every single meal. Where else can you stay in the middle of the woods and have a friendly face appear with baskets of gorgeous pastries, fresh bread, coffee, dinner and dessert delights? Unreal!

The attention to sourcing locally and celebrating seasonality is impressive. The passion and heart that went into creating this haven is undeniable. We are filled with gratitude that we had the opportunity to have such a unique and memorable experience (total highlight of the year), and that we were able to bring our dog along with us (she loved it too). The cherry on top of it all was getting to know Julia and Will - they are absolutely lovely people. They really have put something wonderful into the world for others to enjoy. We cannot wait to return.

If we could give Terre et Neige ten stars we would. It's an absolute pleasure to stay in this heavenly environment. The beauty that Will and Julia have created touches into every aspect of the experience, from the exquisite attention to detail in the cabin, to the delicious meals hand delivered in a basket. Soaking in the wood fired hot tub at the A-frame while surrounded by the beautiful woods and deep silence is an absolutely healing experience. We loved the super clean, highly aesthetic and thoughtfully equipped cabin, the hike to the lake and swimming in the lake itself. Absolute heaven on earth and highly recommended for a restoring getaway. Absolutely the best thing I have done this year. Thank you so much Will and Julia for all the work and love you have poured into your creation.

This is simply the most incredible place to come and stay. The attention to detail is remarkable, the cabins are comfortable beyond compare and the food is delicious! Thank you Will and Julia for the most relaxing stay! Three nights is definitely not long enough, we will be back!!

A must stay! This is our second time staying with Julia and Will and we loved the beautiful new loft cabin. The food was exceptional and Julia’s attention to detail is beyond words. We really enjoyed hiking to the lake and relaxing in the hot tub. Overall, the perfect little getaway not far from downtown Ottawa/Gatineau.

Terre & Neige is absolutely perfect. We had two wonderful days and nights staying in the A-Frame. The cabin is very well equipped and has absolutely everything you need to enjoy your stay. From the insanely comfortable bed, pillows, and linens, to the soap and shampoo specifically made for Terre & Neige, to the Bluetooth JBL
speaker provided, the attention to detail is evident throughout. The grounds are lovely to walk and explore, and we enjoyed the 1.5km walk to the beautiful and peaceful lake. And the food! Absolutely incredible. Julia is an extremely talented baker and cook and you should take every opportunity you have to enjoy her food. Locally sourced and seasonal, each meal we had was perfection. And the portions are beyond generous (so much so that we took leftovers home with us).

We had an absolutely superb visit at Terre et Neige in their A-frame cabin which is beautifully furnished and is one of the best thought-out accomodations we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is excellent, and the buildings are beautiful, with lovely views of the forest to wake up to.
The meals brought to us were delicious, and we really appreciated how the ingredients were sourced very locally, and how much thought had gone in to the whole experience.
As we were driving back, we were talking about how much we would like to go for a second visit, and honestly, we can't wait to go back for another retreat. We cannot recommend this place enough. Lovely, welcoming owners, and a very unique experience.

Truly the most spectacular experience! I’m speechless of how incredible our getaway was. If you’re looking to escape, this is the place to be. The cabin itself is so beautiful and is immersed in nature. We took it easy and enjoyed the space itself. We walked 20 minutes to visit the lake on their property and even enjoyed a canoe ride. Coming back to the cabin, we enjoyed the hot tub that is warmed up by fire wood.

Truly this place is special and I cannot recommend it enough. We’re already looking to rebook for the winter. The owners are so kind and are the perfect hosts. Renting the cabin is not just an escape but a special experience. The food they make (all homemade and an emphasis on local ingredients) is out of this world. Ordering dinner is an absolute must. Plus extra bonus, it’s dog friendly!
