The fog was thick up on top, and we could not see a thing, but as we headed down, we eventually were rewarded with amazing views. And fog rolling in the mountains looked something out of Jurassic Park. The road is paved but it is busy, so be careful and make sure you have good breaks! The mirante itself was mobbed even though we could not see a thing. There were a few Quatis (small dog size mammals) that were feeding from tourist snacks (bad!).

This is such a beautiful place and an amazing view. We went on a holiday weekend so it was completely crowded, although seeing all the other bikes was great. I would recommend a weekday not in the holidays for less traffic on the road as it took us a very long time to descend due to the volume of traffic travelling in each direction.

Do not miss this opportunity to drive this. We went down this. The natural beauty is stunning. Try not to do it on a holiday or a weekend. The less traffic the more time you'll be able to linger going down. Make sure you take the time to do the lookout point at the top. It is breathtaking.
