Juanita Restaurante

We went to Juanita on the basis that it is the best restaurant in Bonito and we were not disappointed. We loved it so much that we went twice. On the first occasion we got a table straight away and each had an individual meal - the Pintado a Urucum and the Filè à Parmegiana. On the second occasion (a Saturday evening) we had to wait 25 minutes or so but we enjoyed a drink while we were waiting. We then shared the Pacu na Brasa for 2 people (which is enough for 3 or 4 people if you have a couple of starters) - the fish was perfectly grilled and flavoured. Juanita has great cocktails too (strawberry and mango mules were had) and the beers were crispy cold (glasses coming out of a -28°C fridge). There was even a special appearance by Juanita herself, sharing their reataurant specialty (aligator tongue) with guests (was delicious!). Great staff service all round!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Juanita, and I was blown away by the food and the overall experience. We started with the alligator appetizer, which was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious dipping sauce. For our main course, we had the Pacu fish, which was incredibly flavorful. We also tried the negroni, which were perfectly made.

In addition to the excellent food, Juanita also has a great selection of cold beer and wine. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and can help you choose the perfect dishes and drinks to pair. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Juanita Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and unique dining experience in Bonito.

They have a big variety of fish. It’s not cheap, but the quality is very good.

The portions are huge and the fish tastes delicious! It gets crowded during dinner time so better come early 👌

Juanita's hours are 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
We sat outside, around 2:00 pm to enjoy the early afternoon sunshine and it was also less crowded.
Not knowing what to order, I trusted the waiter's knowledge regarding the menu.
The presentation of the cooked fish, broccoli and potatoes on a skillet was enticing.
The pleasant waiter filled our plates to enjoy our delicious prepared meal.

This place has a buzzing and lively atmosphere. The restaurant was almost a full house and has a lot of tables inside and outside. The service is extremely enthusiastic and welcoming. The fish dish which I saw on most tables (very popular) was delicious. This was my favourite restaurant in bonito and many other locals agree, I highly recommend.

Extremely popular restaurant among locals, hard to get a table after 7 pm, so come early. Menu is quite extensive, plenty of options to chose from. We went for traditional Brazilian cut picanha set for 2 and it was amazing. Very good quality beef followed by more than enough side dishes. Prices are very reasonable for what is offered.

If anything, Juanita is a family restaurant. Great place for groups of all sizes and ages. Our host was very nice and we were thankful for his English language skills, as we sometimes have a rather large language barrier in Brazil. The food was simply amazing and no matter the choice you make when you have the menu in your hands, I'm sure you will be satisfied. The restaurant can be a bit crowded and it may not be the tiny local authentic restaurant you are looking for, but the food is worth your visit.

Unbelievable food and even had English speaking host. We ordered the (Pintado no Urucum -Catfish . The portion was for 2 but it could have done 4 people. Caipirinha lime and passionfruit was great. Tangerine one wasn't so good (too bitter). Great trip.

We came for dinner with 5 friends to Juanita. It is a very popular place, so you give your name at the entrance and we had to wait some time before we got seated. They make the wait ok, as you can already order drinks. We had the best caipirinha de limao here, delicious!!!
The food (we had their popular fish dish, as well as slow cooked ribs) was really tasty, and big portions. We were positively surprised with the value for money. Very friendly staff. We came back for a late lunch the day after (no wait, we were seated immediately), and ordered different food (picanha / parmigiano / two different pastas), all was really tasteful again!

My favorite restaurant in Bonito.. and the best time s I have ever eaten!! I was amazed by the large portion, The menu said for two, but could easily fed three or four.. the waiters were superb!! I highly recommend and i will definitely order the ribs again 😁

Wow what an amazing restaurant! The locally sourced food is the best quality you can find in town; at an exceptionally good price. The service is attentive, and the decor is welcoming. Juanita Restaurant is THE place in Bonito for amazing fish and local fare.

Pacu no brasa banda for 2 was a generous portion and a great price. It could have served 3 but the broccoli was sadly over cooked and I love broccoli. Even so, it was so delicious that I have it 5 stars. Gets busy early and service is as good as expected when the restaurant is constantly full. Nice free coffee by the door.

I bet there is a better place in Mato Grosso do Sul! Please order the best in house: Pork Belly and the Pacu in the wooden Oven!! Simply the best! Their serve with potatoes, fish soup, rice and other amazing stuff!! Sized by people (half or whole fish without skeleton)! The place is in town and close to everything and the service is very good!
