Mangai de Ponta Negra

I love the atmosphere in the North Eastern Brazil themed restaurant; featuring the authentic foods of the region and waitstaff that are dressed like Cangacieros from the 1920’s-1930’s era. Our waiter Paulo was really great and as I said, the food was outstanding.

There were so many delicious options, hard to pick. Yummy northeast food, from fish to pastas, lots os salads, and lots of dessert options as well.

My 3rd time in Natal and 3rd time we come here. Live band on Friday nights and it waa awesome, it was crowded but less than 15mins wait. Food still delicious.

Sometimes things go wrong in a restaurant, what happens next is the issue. The customer service at Mangai is excellent and I am particularly grateful to the manager, Andre, for his speedy action and attentiveness in resolving the situation. Thank you!

Traditional buffet style restaurant where you weight your food before eating and pay by kilo. A lot of regional choices, including some delicious shrimp.

Mangai Ponta Negra is a typical food restaurant recently built in one of Natal's most beautiful neighborhoods. Very near the beach, it is a spacious, cozy and rustically neat place where you can enjoy a friendly atmosphere, good service and a great variety of freshly cooked local food. There is a large buffet space at your disposition, but you can also get a la carte service. Really worth a visit.

Good variety of quality food in two presentations: self-service and a la carte. Both options are good. The decoration is regional and elegant.

For some of the best northeastern Brazilian food in the city, Mangai is a must. Buffet served and weighed, the bill is proportional to your hunger.

I highly recommend either of the two Mangai restaurants when visiting the city of Natal.
