I would definitely go again!
The place is clean, the animals are taken well cared; you can see that by the size of the places where they are kept and we were able to see the workers feeding, cleaning...
I would suggest going later in the afternoon or early morning because of the hot weather.

We visited here in July 2023, it was fantastic. The animals looked happy and healthy. You get a very intimate experience and view of them all. I got to see a few animals from South America and Brazil that I hadn't seen before, or knew existed. There are lots of lovely trees around the zoo itself, the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. A perfect zoo experience!

I was also offered a teacher's discount (I am a school teacher in New Zealand), if I provided proof/ID, so educators - be sure to bring your ID with you!

Really cool zoo. Small but a good variety of animals. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun outing in this part of Santa Catarina. Don't miss the maned wolf exhibit!

This was a nice small zoo but it was well laid out and there were plenty of cool zoo animals for adults and kids to enjoy seeing. Highly recommend visiting this zoo if you are in the area.

A must-go in Pomerode. You can get quite close to the animals. You will not have to walk long distances as the cages are not far apart. The place is obviously very well maintained.

Great family retreat, with English and German speaking tour guides. Food in the park is decent, but there are great restaurants outside.

Good structure. There is a lot of animal species. Seems that the administration worry about well been of the animals. Kind stuff. There is a convinience store inside.
