SACHARUNA Shamanic Healing Retreats

I came to the retreat in order to come off antidepressants, and hopefully get some answers as to why I felt that I needed them in the first place, all of sixteen years ago.

As you can't take ayahuasca while on antidepressants, I thought this was as good an excuse as any to kick the meds. So I started tapering off 2.5 weeks prior to our retreat. (With a LOT of help with the person I came with). By the time I got to the retreat, my battery was blinking "empty." I was having nightmares, brain zaps, and terrible mood. I had no idea how I would handle this experience.

I met Juan (our shaman) in the afternoon of the first day, in the temple. I was terrified of ayahuasca. I was already depleted and had no mental strength for anything. But, somehow I knew I could trust that he was going to make sure I was okay. He was able to read how you felt and what you were going through. I felt safe.

After three ceremonies, a diet of about 400 calories per day, a temescal, I was completely broken, mentally and physically. I had given up control. I had given up everything. And I found peace in having nothing. The final ceremony pulled the remaining darkness out of me, and dissolved it. I don't know exactly what the ceremonies did, but I know they impacted me in a way that my body and mind will never forget.

I left the ceremony with a calmness and confidence that I have more strength than I ever knew. I left knowing that I was okay.

I can't stress enough how important it is to have a good shaman. This ceremony is sacred, and needs to be run by someone who is 100% devoted to serving the needs of others. Juan runs the retreat (not just the ceremonies, but every single detail of your day-to-day) with thought. The experience is customized to you, what you need, and what you can handle.

This is not a "tourist ayahuasca" retreat. This is real. It's hard. You will be challenged, and you will come out the other side all-the-wiser, and stronger.

I’ve had a wonderful time at Sacha Runa. I stayed for a 3-months retreat: first 2 weeks in the Andes with ayahuasca ceremonies and a San Pedro ceremony, which were really beautiful. Then I went to the location in the jungle and stayed there for 2 months. During that stay I was on ‘la dieta’, which is hard but very transformative as well, and we had beautiful ayahuasca ceremonies twice a week. After 2 months in the jungle I came back to the Andes again, where we had a pilgrimage with San Pedro. That was really a magical experience! Being out in the beautiful nature while taking San Pedro, wauw! 😊.
This 3-months retreat really changed me. I found something inside; a flame, a joy, or however you want to call it, that is so precious, so loving, I’m forever thankful for finding that. And I will forever keep it. I feel a connection with the higher self, the infinite source, which is always there actually. I can feel it, I can experience it, and it’s so full of love, words cannot describe. I feel happy and blessed that I chose to go to this retreat for 3 months, that I gave it 3 months of my time here on earth. Now, I realise I will change my way of living, to continue this path for the rest of my life, through ceremonies, meditation, retreats, and travelling in general. Because it’s an ongoing path really, it never stops. It’s a path I started on many years ago, and I will continue to follow. I’m thankful that I found such a joyful way of living. I realise this is the way of life that makes me feel alive. Participé a un retiro de 3 días con el Maestro Miguel. Por primera vez consumí la ayahuasca y el san Pedro. Fue muy lindo, sané y purgué bastante. La ayahuasca me enseñó lo que era vivir la vida a través de la energía femenina, una muy linda enseñanza. Ha sido una experiencia muy positiva. Las plantas actuaron en mi de manera muy distintas, y también fue muy diferente de lo que me imaginaba que iba a pasar.

Agradezco estas experiencias y ya sé que más adelante volveré a tomar estas plantas. Agradezco a Miguel, una persona súper luminosa y cálida. Con buenos y reconfortantes consejos que guían, aseguran y tranquilizan a uno.

Buenas queridos hermanos, quisiera contarles mi experiencia con la madre ayahuasca, la experiencia fue liberadora en muchos planos, fue una montaña rusa de emociones, de afrontar mis miedos y luego experimentar el extasis con los espíritus, me senti indestructible y ala ves comprendí que muchas cosas que no tenia en mente, me reconcilie con migo mismo, perdone y pedi perdon, senti la presencia de los espíritus de todos los planos, desde el alto astral hasta al vajo astral y entendi que todo tiene su lugar y a la ves todo es uno y uno es todo, y todas las paradojas pueden reconciliarse, es una experiencia inexplicable y todos deberíamos experimentarlo por lo menos una vez en la vida. Sin extenderme mas, doy gracias al maestro miguel, por llevarme y traerme en este grandioso viaje.

El fin de semana del 22 y 23 de abril estuve en Allkamari, fue un lugar que me conquisto desde el momento en que llegué, tiene una energía tan impresionante, que el trabajo que hizo en mí, no solo fue durante la ceremonia sino desde el momento en que llegué hasta el momento en que dejé este mágico lugar.
Fui buscando un poco de paz, reconectarme conmigo mismo, con Dios y con mi espiritualidad, logrando encontrar mucho más que esto. Por lo cual recomiendo a las personas que deseen transitar por este camino espiritual y de crecimiento, hacerlo con este maravilloso equipo de personas y en este maravilloso lugar, ya que no solo ayudan a superar dificultades en la vida, sino que también a encontrar una paz interior y el desarrollo espiritual que tanto buscamos, y lo más importante, de una manera segura y con mucho amor.
