Hotel “Bononia”

The location is great. It’s in the center of town and almost on the river. The riverside park is great. They have restaurants, playgrounds, monuments and a nice shaded walk with beautiful views of the Danube. You have a churches, a mosque and a synagogue that when renovated will be spectacular and of course the Baba Vida Fortress. The rooms were comfortable and the air conditioning top notch. Perfect for cooling down after a hot day of sightseeing. The center is clean and the people are nice. I would stay here again and if you are going to Bulgaria make sure Vidin is on your itinerary and stay at Hotel Bononia.

I visited this hotel several years ago and I think the quality was good for the value. We enjoyed several days there and our only comment was that we couldn’t stay longer as it was all fully booked. The hotel is central city location also provides large parking place. Staff was very welcoming and friendly and service at the restaurant was satisfactory. I believe a good rating of 5 stars is well deserved!

Wedding worthy restaurant with live music and DJ. Top notch day and until late bar. Amazing rooms close to the main park and Danube river.

Excellent non expensive three star Hotel within three hundred yards of the River Danube. Central location within the old walled town area. A short walk to the Train and Coach stations.
