House-museum of Ivan Vazov

A very interesting place to visit. The lady working there was very sweet and helpful when I visited. Even though I didn't speak much Bulgarian, she really tried her best to show me things and explain what everything was. It showcases Ivan Vazovs life as well as what a traditional Bulgarian house would have been like. There's also a combined ticket for all the museum attractions in Sopot which was very cheap especially for students.

Great place to visit with your family. Extremely rich history compacted into the house where the "patrirach of the Bulgarian Literacy" was born. Despite that it was burn down to the ground, itwas rebuild and still looks quite a bit as it was used by his famility back in the days.
So if you have an hour or so, take a look at the museum, because there is vast majority of data to be looked through, and get a rough idea of his life.

Small but very cute and beautiful museum right in the center of Sopot. You can see all the rooms from the house on display (no entering) and a separate display room with works from the author.

The house is extremely nice and very well maintained! Keep the Bulgarian Revival History in you. The staff is very nice and helpful. Free entry on March 3rd!

It’s impressive how much this place has been maintained in a good way. I remember it as a ugly one, but this year it made a good impression. Take your kinds there and tell them stories about old times and made them think about how it all changes in comparison with nowadays.

The museum was established in 1935 in the course of a national campaign to preserve the memory of Ivan Vazov in his hometown. Over the years, it has established itself as a key center for preserving the literary traces left by Ivan Vazov in our national culture. There are four objects in the structure of the Museum: Ivan Vazov House Museum, Girls' School, Ethnographic Center "Sopotski", Dyado-Stoyanova Vodenitsa. The museum maintains attractive educational programs, develops scientific projects, enriches and develops its expositions and is actively present in the public space

Place of real Bulgarian -way of life, history, culture and literature.The house of Ivan Vazov and the backyard with the spring and flowers under the vines inspired my imagination and put me in the ages of his poems and novels ...Totally in the spirit of these times 😍😍😍

Very pleasant arrangement of Bulgarian local historic artefacts including a wax scene. The museum has a collection of books and photos including little known facts about the greatest poet and novelist of Bulgaria.

Ivan Vazov is one of the most respected historical Personn in Bulgaria after the liberation of the Turkish presence!
