A place every Bulgarian should visit. The tour guide was exceptional with deep knowledge of history.

Always remember Vasil Levski!

One of the most important, well known and revered places in Bulgarian history, the "pub/tavern/coach House" where Vasil Levski was betrayed and captured. I was informed by the curator (very nice man) that the building is almost original with only minor repairs, he gave me a tour and explanation of that fateful night. Thank you sir.

If you want to feel a piece of history, you should visit. Try to imagine what life was for those people.

Interesting place to visit.

Bulgarian historical place rebuilt after fire a hundred years ago. A very interesting story and curios facts about Levski narrated by a very kind woman - the museum guide. Must be visited.

Historical pace where Vasil Levski was captured by the turks

One of the greatest places, I have visited. Despite the "black" history of the place, it is amazing to learn and refresh so much history and details of Vasil Levski's capture. I love the fact that the tree is still there and preserved. It is amazing how the village has changed, since then.

This is a great place to visit if you are interested in the history of Bulgaria. In addition to paying the fee to visit the museum I would advise you to pay an additional 5 leva for a lecture by the historians who work in the museum. From them you will hear more details about different theories connected with the capture of Levski and the role of different historical figures in the process that followed.

Amazing place, a lot of history.

nice place. you can hear a lot of things about how Vasil Levski was catch and understand who betrayed him. There is also authentic tree that was there by that time.

Listen to the local guide. He talks very engaging and the story is very interesting and it is not the traditional as I know it about capturing Levski.

Lovely old (18th century?) guest house with restaurant. Some old artefacts, don't expect too much, but for 3 lev, it's worth seeing.

The guide was very friendly and helpful. Gave us a lot of information and allowed us as much time as we want, to look around.
