Church "Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel"

I've been to quite a few religious places around the world and I'll honestly say this ranks alongside the very best of them.Such beautiful paintings/frescoes, captivating. No bling, gold or massive towers and domes just a simple small church with stunning frescoes. It really does give you a very spiritual feeling when inside. There is a small entry fee. A nice lady let us in (she lives in the house opposite the door of the church itself). It's well worth a visit.

Absolutely stunning. From the outside, it could be an agricultural building (which was quite on purpose to hide the fact that it was a place of worship).
It's very old. The paintings inside are really beautiful and vibrant. It's a very peaceful place to visit. The land around it is tranquil. It's an easy walk to the little town centre.

It is one of the most beautiful churches in Arbanasi, built in siecle XVII. The church is very modest from outside but it impresses with the splendid wall-paintings very well preserved.

A beautiful small, modest church and hidden from the view of passers-by. Beautifully landscaped yard and in harmony with the environment in which it is located.

One of the very few churches in the world you can see a fresco of 12 years old Jesus. It’s on the ceiling of the first hall.

Even though it does not look like a church on the outside, it definitely is and the decorations/paintings inside are stunning!

Прекрасна църква от 1600-та година с богати стенописи

Впечатляващ Православен Дом Божи! Изписан през 17-ти век с добре запазени стенописи!
Тъжното е, че при "социализма" е отнет от Православната Църква, умишлено в него са прекратени богослуженията, не се служи Божествена Света Литургия и е превърнат в "паметник на културата" и "музей" и НЕ Е действащ храм... За радост на сатаната и неговите бесове... По този начин от това свято място е отнета благодатта.
Младата уредничка наивно и с гордост обясняваше, как "държавата" е спечелила 7 дела срещу Православната Църква относно връщането на възрожденските храмове в Арбанаси на Българската Православна Църква. И сега в тези храмове няма богослужения и литургичен живот, не се извършва тайнството на тайнствата - Светата Евхаристия и не се служи на Бога. И има ли кой от местните хора да разбере от какво са лишени и да възроптае срещу това? Или всичко е обърнато на "туристическа атракция" и търговия?
Тъжно и печално.

Приятно, спокойно и красиво място. Самата църква е малка и не е действаща. Имайте в предвид, че има вход от горната страна - пътеките отдолу са стръмни.
