Church of the Nativity

I loved this little church, externally resembling a private house, and hidden away so that it would be unimpeded by the Ottoman overlords. It is beautifully decorated internally, and it brilliantly tells the story of how the Bulgarian people maintained their faith and national culture through centuries of Ottoman oppression. Not to be missed. The local guide, Denis, was outstanding in his explanations. Get him if you can!

Be sure to have a tour guide to explain this church for you. There are over 3000 fresco's images painted on the walls. They don't allow you to take photographs inside but at there are a couple of photos already here on to give you an idea what you'll see. A highlight of the visit was a small choir of 4 people from the village who sang their Bulgarian hymns for our tour group.

O clădire deosebită, declarată monument. De admirat pictura din interior, Biblia pe scurt, în imagini. Merita vizitată, dacă ești în zonă. Am plătit 15 leva, două persoane. Pentru grupuri mai mari, cred că doamna de la intrare poate fi și ghid. Se găsesc informații pe Net despre biserică.

Красива църква-музей. Тя е с най-запазените стенописи. Препоръчвам да се посети от тези, които още не са го направили. Цените са достъпни - 5 лв. за възрастни. Може да посетите и други забележителности, тъй като в близост е Велико Търново, както и да се разходите из улиците на с. Арбанаси-конната база, историческия музей, църквата "Св. Георги", манастирът, местност Ксилифор, пещерата Калугерска дупка.

Excepcional iglesia cubierta completamente de frescos. Nosotros fuimos un dia laborale en verano y esta abierto, la entrada se paga a unas señoras mayores muy simpáticas que están a la entrada. Visita OBLIGADA si vas a Veliko, no tiene comparación alguna esta iglesia en Bulgaria. Para llegar a Arbanasi se puede hacer fácilmente en taxi.

Прекрасна църква, която задължително трябва да се види от всеки човек. Много добре поддържана, служителката е много добре обаснява всичко и знае всичко за всяко изображение,много е мила и разбрана, с удоволствие обяснява всичко, това ми направи силно впечатление. Мястото е много красиво и излъчва спокойствие и мир.

Една от най-забележителните църкви в България! Препоръчвам заедно с билета да закупите и екскурзовод, за да можете да научите повече за самата църква. Ние останахме очаровани от посещението ни и вниманието, което ни отдели екскурзовода. 🥰

10月から3月は閉まっている事が多いとのネット情報を得ていたので、恐る恐るの訪問(2022.11)でしたが、有難い事にしっかり開いてました。
小さな教会の壁面にイコンがびっしりと描かれ、それを間近に見ることができます。3部屋見れるはずが、真ん中の一部屋の灯りは消えていたので、点灯できないか(ライト、ライトと言いながらジェスチャーで)お願いしたら無事点灯。
入場料は70lev(約700円)と、現地の物価からすれば高めですが、それを支払う価値は十分あります。

La chapelle syxtine d'Arbanassi, à voir absolument!
Ce long bâtiment de presque 30 mètres est en fait une église : l'église de la Nativité du Christ. Pas de clocher pour ce sanctuaire de pierre construit au XVI° siècle. Il y a une raison , sous domination ottomane toutes les églises sont très basses, construitent selon la règle édictée par les ottomans : pour éviter la construction d’églises importantes, celles-ci ne doivent pas être plus hautes qu’un homme à cheval! Tout autour, appuyées sur les murs, quelques pierres tombales et, enguise de parvis, des près et des jardinets fleuris. Sous son toit de tuiles romaines se cache un véritable trésor. Sur les murs et les plafonds de l'églises, des fresques polychromes. Peintes sur une période d'environ un siècle, elles forment "l'ensemble iconographique le plus complet et le plus riche qu'on puisse voir en Bulgarie.

Струва си да се посети, но задължително с беседа, за да се обяснят стенописите. Жената (леля Пепи) разказваше увлекателно дори и за децата. Лично аз запомних доста неща, благодарение на нея. Лошо впечатление ни направи продавачът на антики пред двора на църквата, който изскочи от една кола и се изрепчи на децата, че не е за тях, а те се бяха наредили просто да погледнат без да пипат нищо(5 клас). Жалко, защото ми се видяха интересни неща сред тях, но ни изгуби като клиенти на секундата с това държание!!!
