Monument of Mother Bulgaria

This is a very emotional and beautiful monument. As a Bulgarian, I see the woman on top, representant of both Bulgarian women and of the Bulgarian land, and I weep and have my heart fill up with emotion! This Bulgarian women, having given so much in the heartbreaking wars that have taken the toll on her nation, proudly stands here! We salute you, Mother Bulgaria!

The heart and the start of the city. South bus station and many hotels nearby. Main street, also a bus stop for number 10 that leads to Gorna Oryahovitsa and all the local bus lines. Many restaurants around. A lot of benches. Enough green surroundings to be called a city garden.

I enjoyed learning about this monument from Veliko Tarnovo walking tours. It is good memorial to remember the wars fought in Bulgaria and tastefully done.

Nice park for a walk with a beautiful monument

Saw it on Google Maps and walked there.

Lovely little garden in the very centre of Veliko Tarnovo. There are plenty of benches where you can have some rest and enjoy the view. You will find shadow on a sunny days. Othee special event on the monument is on 22 March, when the town has special celebrations. All young people, students, hipsters reunite with music instruments and so on to enjoy the night.

It's a very impressive monument. The area surrounding it is park like with green scenery and many benches where you can take a small break in the middle of the city. It's nice to remember the heroes of the country.

It's the center of Veliko Tyrnovo city in Bulgaria. The monument represent old woman- that old woman is Bulgaria. She is too old and too small to can protect herself. She need help- that means this thing. Veliko Tyrnovo is a old Bulgarian capital on second Bulgarian Kingdom. It's very beautiful city- everyone must visit that place.

The monument of those who perished in the wars, a.k.a. Mother Bulgaria is located in a garden right in the centre of Veliko Tarnovo, in front of the Town Hall. Popular landmark and waypoint for the travellers.
