The Hill

Had an amazing stay here, the man at reception (not sure if he is the owner) was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too, we left satisfied.

Excellent service! The hotel has an elevator and really nice and clean rooms, with a super comfortable big bed, tv, fridge, air conditioning, a nice desk is you need to work and - the cherry on top - a spectacular view over the Tsarevets and Trapezitsa (especially at sunset, when the light is great for pictures)! We had room 305, at the second floor. Breakfast is served at the sky cafe, at the 3rd floor, which has big glass windows and a panoramic view. The location is great (in the center of the town), close to the restaurants and markets. The stuff is very friendly and accommodating. Niko (the owner) was truly helpful, he gave us a map of the city and explained to us everything we needed to know. Don't hesitate to ask him about things to do in Veliko Tarnovo.
Everything was top-notch. The city is beautiful! We had a wonderful stay at The Hill and we will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect. They found us a parking space, our room was upgraded for free with a view to Tsarevets and staff were very pleasant and friendly! Absolutely perfect 10/10!

We stayed at The Hill Hotel from14th July until 17th July 2022. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. Asen, Danny, Anna and Elka were very friendly and helpful, always ready to provide information about interesting places. We enjoyed the homemade tasty breakfast served by Anna in the restaurant area, which offered beautiful views to the hills and Tsarevec. The room offered a kettle and cups but no tea and coffee sachets, something that could be looked at in future. I strongly recommend the hotel.

One word-excellent.
The rooms are great, the view is awesome, and the staff is very polite.
The only con is that it’s a bit too loud since the hotel is basically on the street and there’s a lot of traffic.
Still, thats not going to affect my review so I'm giving 5/5 and I will definitely visit again :)

This hotel was amazing! The hotel was very cool, even on the hottest of days. The hotel is very accessible by the city busses. Our room was very clean and we had an amazing view over the Tsaretsevs Fortress! What we also admired about the room was that the curtains made the room very dark. Many other hotels don’t have that. The breakfast in the sky cafe were also great and the staff was very kind! All in all, we had a great experience here.

Amazing view from the rooms. All the rooms have a view as well. The service is great, the guys offered to park our car because it was a little bit hard to park Infront of the hotel. The rooms are clean and big and the hotel is very clean overall and the staff is super friendly.

PRO:
Very nice people. Beatiful rooms with a great view of the fortress (at least ours - we stayed in 207). Good breakfast - but starting kinda late (8:30) for our needs, we had to get to Athens the same day. Nutshell: recommended if you plan to stay a few days in Veliko Tarnovo, good for a one night stay.
CON:
We had to park in the street, but the hotel staff helped us find a spot where the car would not be towed away (be careful about that!)

Large clean rooms, cosy design, great staff, a few parking spots, wonderful view and location; due to the proximity to the main boulevard it can get a bit noisy during rush hour.

Great place to stay if you decide to explore Veliko Tarnovo. The view from our room was stunning - overlooking the Trapevica Hill. The staff was really helpful and the whole experience was spot on!

No actual parking, but they will help you to park your car on a free parking spot !

Very beautiful room and view. Slightly musty smell. They had (at least a bit) cold milk for breakfast (often not the case).
