A great place to spend a few hours to walk around in nature. The monastery and the cave are great. You can even sit down and have lunch at the restaurant. The food came out a bit slow but it was tasty. The atmosphere was great. I recommend

The area is so beautiful. The Monastery and the cave are breathtaking. The cave admission fee is 5 Leva (£2.3) and actually you explore it on your own! Sure there are other visitors but you don't have a creepy person following your every step like in the UK. It is 300 m of corridors and halls, nicely illuminated and the person selling tickets to the cave was great. He let us go for free as they don't accept cards and we had only pounds. I gave him £5 and he pinned it to a wall board as a memento.

Well worth a visit. Expect to be there around about a couple of hours. The long escorted visit takes an hour. The short route is 30 minutes. Wear good shoes, with grip as slippery in places.

There is a monastery several restaurants and tourist market nearby.

Park up the hill 50 metres+ away to aviod paying the 2 lev parking.

This is a beautiful cave, located in the vicinity of the old Dryanovo monastery. There is a brief, but detailed display at the entrance of the cave about its history. It also shows remnant from the life of pre-historic humans and animals that used to live here. Mind you, the temperatures inside the cave are much lower than those outside. It is certainly a must visit place if you are coming to the monastery

One of the oldest caves in Bulgaria with gorgeous nature around. Its kids friendly and if you visit during the summer, not even too cold inside :) There is long and short route, three floors and the freedom to go with or without a guide.

We have visited the place on the "shorter road", because the next "long" would make us wait 1 hour. The place is awesome and for the shorter road = you enter the cave completly at your own. For arround 30 minutes you can see the main places. In the cave the humidity is very high, so prepare with good shoes, it is very slippery. Next time i will go there for the longer road with guide. If you want to have choice , go there at 13:45 :)

The Bacho Kiro cave (Bulgarian: пещера „Бачо Киро“) is situated 5 km (3.1 mi) west of the town Dryanovo, Bulgaria, only 300 m (980 ft) away from the Dryanovo Monastery. It is embedded in the canyons of the Andaka and Dryanovo River. It was opened in 1890 and the first recreational visitors entered the cave in 1938, two years before it was renamed in honor of Bulgarian National Revival leader, teacher and revolutionary Bacho Kiro. The cave is a four-storey labyrinth of galleries and corridors with a total length of 3,600 m (11,800 ft), 700 m (2,300 ft) of which are maintained for public access and equipped with electrical lights since 1964. An underground river has over time carved out the many galleries that contain countless stalactone, stalactite, and stalagmite speleothem formations of great beauty. Galleries and caverns of a 1,200 m (3,900 ft) long section have been musingly named as a popular description of this fairy-tale underground world. The formations succession: Bacho Kiro’s Throne, The Dwarfs, The Sleeping Princess, The Throne Hall, The Reception Hall, The Haidouti Meeting-Ground, The Fountain and the Sacrificial Altar

Amazing place to visit. the guide is great, just be prepared you should knee a little bit as the tunnels are a bit short. but the experience is totally worthy.

A beautiful cave with various halls inside, well lit and with sleeping bats hanging from the ceilings. The woman on the reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful giving us extra information.

I really liked the cave and the magnificent waterfall nearby. We took the short route which was said to be 25 mins but was shorter. We will definitely come back and try the long route.

Seen as a kid, now taking my kids to see it. It was amazing as I remember it. Love how nature creates hidden spaces. Worth the visit.

A nice cave with three (or maybe even more) levels. Make sure you visit the love bench located around 20 mins max away via a trail. Also, you can do the hike between Bacho Kiro cave and Bozhentsi - it takes around five hours and it is very easy and pleasant!

Excellent experience. Surprised at the begging by the lack of light but when we got used to it it was fabulous 🤩

Great cave.
There is short and long route.
The short is an individual one and can be started anytime. The long one is instructor-led and starts either with previous appointment, with a group over 15 people or at 14 o'clock daily.
There is a concert hall, where the acoustic is great.
