Château de Seneffe

Beautiful place. Restored starting in the 50's' for over 40 years. Step back in the 18th century. The story is written like a movie, loved it. The garden is fully accessible and very large. The place was very quiet when we visited. Recommeded, we spend about 2.5 hours in total.

We first visited the castle; learnt about its history, the daily life of the inhabitants. There was a provocative exposition installed in the first floor which I also loved. Afterwards, we walked allover the gardens. It's a huge place and we are virtually alone. Such a beautiful castle and gardens.

A rare castle that has both a garden and furniture+ artifacts inside in Belgium. Usually it's either empty or inaccessible as a private property. This one is a nice romantic place to visit, all rooms with furniture and artifacts are described through a story of a housemaster of some sorts. Loads of objects from all over the world are on display as "souvenirs brought home from trips". Russian intricate silver cutlery, Italian marble bath weighing 2 tonnes, Chinese porcelain, French trinkets and books, tea and coffee beans from Asia. Garden /wall orchard has a number of 100years old fruit trees. Each group type of tourists (solo travelers, couples or families) will find something there. There are some areas of decay as the place needs to be restored further. The question of funds and time but I'm sure they will get there. Excellent staff and excellent information boards in FRENCH / DUTCH/ ENGLISH. no German language information, maybe worth it to do it too.
Excellent place to spend 2-3 hours. Could take less time or longer, if you want to.

This place is so beautifull! I went on autumn and the colors were awesome! Unfortunately, the museum was not open at the time but I was able to walk around the gardens and also see the Llama! When back, I'll look forward to know the place inside

I enjoy visiting this muséum with beautiful park, old furniture, paintings, games, etc.. Perfect to walk around on a sunny day.

Nice place to visit, especially the surroundings. Pretty good for kids, and there's also a bar.

Cool old "castle" estate grounds with ponds, trees, birds and a great place to have a picnic. All free of charge, just loose yourself for the day here.

Loved our visit to this beautiful chateau. The interiors are in perfect condition, the displays are very interesting and we loved the hardwood floors. Recommended!

Chateau Seneffe was beautiful house and grounds. The house contains many superb rooms to educate about aristocratic life in the 1800s. Wandering the grounds, it is not difficult to imagine elaborate lawn parties and associated functions sick as the arrival of guests up the main road in their carriages. Highly recommend.

Walking trough a beautiful park, wondering the historical atmosphere while watching to the Castle trough the misty smog from the fountain in the Parc. A place to visit and to cherish, before leaving do not hesitate to taste the hot chocolate... mmm 🤗

Magnificent castle surrounded by beautiful gardens. Very friendly staff. Perfect for kids and parents willing to live the life of 18th century.

An enjoyable visit. The grounds are extensive, the chateau is obviously renovated, but with an interesting permanent exhibition on life in the 18th century, and a temporary exhibition on gardens in the 18th century.

Nice place If you want to drink chocolate with some cake, come around 14:30 on weekends.
