Island of Ireland Peace Park

It is a fantastic view and hard to believe the stories that surround this area.

Amazing place! The tower is beautiful, you can enter and get a better feel of the building. The testimonies printed in the stones are touching. Peaceful place, just walk around, enjoy the views and think about the absurdity of war.

Similar to the Irish tower near the Thiepval memorial, we saw when visiting the Somme. Beautifully constructed stone tower and thoughtful poetry.

Very nice memorial for the fallen Irish soldiers whom fought in the devastating war from 1914-1918.

Irish Peace Park or Irish Peace Tower is incredibly symbolic, feeling like a little piece of Ireland .It is partially built with stone from a former barracks in Tipperar.

The Ireland peace Park is very well done it's artistic but it also has some excellent quotes and some moving areas of contemplation and thought it is a shame however that you cannot climb into the tower anymore that would definitely add to the imposing presence of the tower at the site

An Island of Peace in this beautiful garden. A lovely vista out across the Douve River valley, it is hard to imagine the extreme carnage that occured here a century before and the sacrifice the men honoured here made.
