Remarkable collection of WWII artefacts lovingly assembled and fittingly displayed by the private owner. He and his father amassed the items over 50years and his ongoing passion comes through if you engage. He is willing to chat and share stories of his grandfather’s role.
Vehicles on display including tanks, jeeps, motorcycles, bicycles, model aircraft, etc. Loads of weapons too. The presentation, mannequins, scene setting, etc, is exceptional.
Information is presented in French, German and English, and lots if it. Highly informative.
Sections cover the roles of the Highland Division, the Northampton Yeomanry as well as the Americans in WWII and particularly the Battle of the Bulge (Ardennes). The suffering La Roche went through is poignantly displayed.
Highly recommended, and allow plenty of time. 10euros cash for entry, good value.
By the way, wear warm clothes if visiting in chillier months.

The museum was surprisingly big on the inside! There is a lot to see, you really have to take your time and don't rush to the exit. A lot of pictures of veterans who had visited the museum. There were also a lot of diorama's, and scale models! The museum looks a bit older than the most museums but that's the charm of this museum. It is definitely worth the ticket price.

This was the first museum we visited on our trip through the Ardennes Battle fields as it was situated in the beautiful town of La Roche. We were kept interested for hours throughout the three floors of artefacts, tableaux and kit. Well worth the visit!

Forget the historical center in Bastonge, if y'all wanna see a real good museum about the battle of the bulge and real artefact of the war, go here. One of the best battle of the bulge museums in Belgium.

One of the best private owned and sponsored museums I've ever seen. The number of items and displays over 4 floors are mind blowing. Definitely worth a visit!

The German posters are very good to see, and it explains so well how the enigma machine works and how Alan Turing worked to decipher it. Exceptional museum!

Amazing museum with very impressive pieces, the owner is also absolutely passionated by history and can answer any questions you have. The dioramas are also highly realistic and make it easier to imagine how it was during the battle of the bulge.

This is a really good museum with a fantastic collection of weapons, clothes, equipment, etc. from WWII. Better than what I have seen in more "nationsl/modern" museums. It very much focuses on the battles in the region and what happened to / in Roche de Argonne and its inhabitants during the war, which I think actually works in it favours since it shows both the hereos of the war and the strategic decisions that was made, and how that affected the population on a local level and makes the whole exhibition feels very personal. This is not strange since it is a private collection that was created by the current owners grandpa, who was a belgian soldier during the war.
I recommend everyone who passes through the area to visit the museum and read up on the events.

Very good service, the collection was magnificent with many super rare items. The collection was much larger than expected and the owner was a very kind hearted man which was very enthusiastic about history and answered any questions I had. One of the best war museums I’ve ever visited, if you are in the area I recommend stopping by because it will definitely be worth your time.

Brilliant display of artifacts from the war and information about the battle of the bulge that happened around here towards the end of the war. If you've seen the series Band of Brothers this is a great place to see more about the battle the 101st airborne went through.

Lots bigger inside than I thought. Well worth the €8 entrance fee. They let us in with a dog too

Museums like this fuel me. 8€ is kinda expensive. But at least it's going to a better cause that the pockets of some random business man.

A lot of original objects. Both German, british and american. Signs in both french, dutch and English. Very nice.

Beautiful decorated scenes with mannequins, vehicles and equipment. Especially liked the attention for detail in the backgrounds. Very well done. Some good crafting went into that.

It's 3 stories stocked with stuff, you can spend a good part of your afternoon in it, especially if you take the time to read the information signs.
