Hotel Restaurant Damier Kortrijk

This is a classy hotel that clearly takes pride in its old fashioned style and values. It definitely has charm but is not stuck up or pretentious in any way. You can almost feel the history of the place as you walk the corridors.
My room was tastefully decorated and had about the most comfortable mattress and bedding I have had in a hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the chap on reception.
Breakfast was excellent, good choice and eggs cooked to order.
Nice bar with waiter service, food looked good but didn't eat there.
Parking was tricky to find but no real drama.
The rate I paid was not too expensive so was actually good value.
I would have expected tea and coffee making facilities in the room (the hotel claims 4 stars), but still a very comfortable stay, thanks!

I've only tried one other hotel in Kortrijk, but after staying at the Damier, I don't need to look any further. I've stayed there twice, the last time just a week ago, and had another wonderful stay. It's a quiet hotel, the rooms are nicely sized and very comfortable. It has a lot of old world charm you can't get in a new hotel, and the price makes it a great value.

We stayed there to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The venue for the reception was very appreciated with impeccable service. The hotel has got charm and the staff is outstanding. We loved the food and the room (executive) very comfortable and spic and span, with air conditioning, which is precious in the current times of heat.

Easily the best hotel and restaurant in Kortrijk. The facilities, friendly, warm hospitality and attention to details are unmatched. Don't miss eating in the restaurant, the quality of the food and presentation are of the highest standard.
I held a private event there and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I have stayed twice in the Damier on business trips and can only recommend this hotel. The so-called „executive rooms“ have been nicely refurbished to a modern design while the building itself boasts the charm and decor of centuries. Breakfast makes a difference for me and the Damier goes for quality over quantity. Good coffee, egg variations upon request as well as some cereal, fresh fruit, and Greek yoghurt👌

Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Mix of classical hotel areas and rooms with modern rooms. Breakfast buffet was decent but perhaps somewhat limited in options, though all the base elements of a nice breakfast were present. The one thing I found lacking was the ability to make a coffee in my room.

The location is very central, staff is really friendly. Room I stayed was recently renovated, spacious and quite.

The rooms are a little dated, but the beds are still comfy. The staff is friendly, especially for a non French/Dutch/Flemish speaking travelers. The front bar is very nice to have a drink after a long day of work!

sheets were divine, slept through the night despite the suite facing the market. restaurant has so much character and food for room service is like fine dining! front desk staff are friendly. would stay again.

Every staff that I met were so friendly and courteous. I was super impressed with the receptionist Tina who is so considerate, friendly and no request was a problem at all. The customer experience in this hotel was exceptional and made a lasting positive impression.

Hotel Damier is located in the city center of Kortrijk, just a few minutes walk from the Central train station. Rooms are very decent and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was good as well.
