Kakrail Mosque is the huge mosque located next to Ramna Park in the Kakrail area of ​​the capital Dhaka. It is the Markaz or main center of Tablighi Jamaat in Bangladesh. In 1952, this mosque was designated as the main center of the Tablighi Jamaat. The old name of the mosque was 'Malwali Masjid'. There is disagreement as to when the Kakrail Mosque was first built and by whom. However, it is known from the elders of Kakrail Mosque, Many people think that this mosque was established about 300 years ago. The mosque was built on the lines of other structures of the Nawabs. In the beginning the mosque was on a small scale. There was a small pond in front.

The mosque has a triangular design adjacent to its roof. The pillars are square in shape. The western wall of the mosque is wavy. The mosque also has wide balconies on three sides. There are two small pond-like houses for ablutions on the south and north sides. Hundreds of people can perform ablution together on the four sides of this pond. Outside the mosque there is also a toilet. A little away from the mosque on the north side there is a two-storied building for ablutions and bathrooms.
Basically the main part of the mosque has three floors. The part on the right side is six stories. The six-storey building is used for Heafzkhana, dormitory and Tabligh office.

Although the external structure of this mosque is beautiful, there is no splendor inside. The biggest difference of this mosque is that it has no door. It is open day and night for all. This mosque is different from other mosques for many reasons. You can find few street shops outside the mosque from where you can buy Islamic accessories at cheap rate.

Kakrail Mosque, also known as Malwali Masjid, is a historical and spiritual cornerstone in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Initially a modest structure with a small pond in front, the mosque has evolved into the central hub of the Tablighi Jamaat in Bangladesh. In 1952, the Tablighi Jamaat movement designated Kakrail Mosque as its Markaz, or center, transitioning from the Khan Mohammad Mridha Mosque. The current three-story mosque was reconstructed under the supervision of Haji Abdul Muqit, an architect from the Tablighi Jamaat, and features distinctive architectural elements like triangular carvings adjacent to the roof and square-shaped pillars. Open day and night, the mosque’s design facilitates hundreds of worshippers performing Wudu simultaneously, reflecting its significance as a place of communal worship and spiritual learning.

All the activities of Bangladesh Tabligh Jamaat are conducted from here. It is the main mosque of the Markaz mosques located all over the country. There is a good arrangement here for thousands of people to pray together.

Peaceful place, Alhamdulillah. The main center of Tabligh Jamaat in Bangladesh, local and foreign people gather here to spread Tabligh in different places in the country and outside the country. 4 weeks Islamic work is conducted here by the clerics under the government directive. And 2 weeks of dangerous people trying to harm Islam. Better to come here knowing in advance.

Kakrail Masjid Masjid is the main mosque which is the Bangladeshi head office of Tablighi Jamaat which operates globally. Basically from here the work of purifying the Muslims and at the same time spreading Islam is done. Basically, it is an attempt to see how Muslims can purify themselves by following the basic principles of Islam and that these self-purifying people can be purified by others. Here the work proceeds gradually with the help of the creator. This mosque is also the historical center of Islam propagation.

Very well-known Mosque in Dhaka city. It is also the headquarter of Tablig Jamaat. Every year Tablig Jamaat arrange Bisho Ijtema on Bank of river Turag in Tongi. The mosque is also crowded with Tablig Jamaat people, who came across the country. After taking proper instructions they go out for inviting people in the path of islam. Very recently there is Internal clash between the two fraction of Tablig Jamaat.

Nostalgic... I visited this beautiful mosque for the first time after completing my secondary examination.. So an emotion while appearing in front of this mosque..

It is the oldest and largest mosque in Dhaka, and one of the main mosques of Bangladesh. Serves as the head quarter of Tablig Jamaat of Bangladesh. It can accommodate thousands of muslims for daily and Eid prayers, and has a spacious and large prayer hall.
The mosque is well maintained and clean, and has a peaceful atmosphere. I felt very welcomed and comfortable at the mosque, and I learned a lot from the people there.
