After much anticipation, I finally visited the historical gem, Ahsan Manzil, nestled on the banks of Sadarghat in old Dhaka. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely weekend outing with loved ones. Steeped in history and charm, it offers a perfect ambiance for creating cherished memories.

This is a wonderful big building and also a historical place. The building has been renovated to several times keeping its original structure. I recommend anyone wants to visit Dhaka, visit this place. You will enjoy. And do not forget to take food from local restaurants.

Amazing pink museum or palace. Entrance fee is 500 taka for foreigners. Nice gardens, nice architecture, long stairs and many floors. A history of people who lived there, many photos, poets, dining halls and many others. The road to the entrance was under construction, so had to walk a little bit in a very narrow and crowded area.

Great Tourists Spot in Old Dhaka. Loved the place. I really learn a lot from their. Furthermore I want to visit there again. Highly Recommended for local and Foreign Tourists.
I would like to request our government to make it more sustainable and make some magazine about the history of Ahsan Manzil. We have a lot of historical product which we can sell to foreigners easily, but lake of good management and lake of planning we can't do it. I wish out government will take some step about the issue.

This is a very good place to visit in Dhaka with friends & family members; specially they can learn & get charmed about the history & lots of ancient objects there! Hopefully everyone can enjoy it & I also wish to visit it again as it needs a lot of time to visit it consciously & obviously I love to dive deeper into the time. 😍

It was an interesting historical tour at ahsan monjil Museum in Dhaka. The museum is beside the Buriganga river. There is an entry gate beside the ticket counter. There is also a waiting room where we can store our luggage. The museum has two different buildings for the visitors. Here, we can learn about "nabab family histry" and which maquillage, arms and goods they used. It was an awesome place for tourists.

Ahsan Manzil Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in Bangladeshi history and culture. The museum is housed in a beautiful palace that was once the home of the Nawab of Dhaka. The palace is beautifully restored and the exhibits are well-curated. I learned a lot about the history of Bangladesh and the Nawab family during my visit. I would highly recommend Ahsan Manzil Museum to anyone visiting Dhaka.

The museum is great. The atmosphere is exactly as a palace should be. The view is fantastic. As Friday is the weekly closing day of the markets in Old Dhaka, I shall suggest visiting the palace on Fridays.

This is a historic palace used during the Bangladeshi Liberation War and serves as a significant symbol of our struggle for independence. Originally, this palace was built during the time of the Nawab rulers, and later it served as offices for various Pakistani government institutions and organizations.
During the Liberation War, Ahsan Manzil held great importance as a symbol of the honor and dignity of the Bangladeshi freedom fighters. Now, it functions as a museum where exhibitions related to various aspects of the Liberation War and the life stories of freedom fighters are displayed.

Ahsan Manzil is one of the most beautiful spectacular and historical places of Dhaka, located in colorful old Dhaka on the banks of river Buriganga, near Dhaka's main launch terminal 'Sadarghat'.
It's an old Dhaka heritage. Named afer the the name of Nawab Ahsanullah by his father Nawab Abdul Ghani, Ahsan Manzil was the residence of Nawabs, and now it is serving as a museum.

Fairly well maintained. Clean & tidy.
The garden was well dressed & pruned.
Purchased tickets at enhanced rates as outsiders.
Do not understand the logic of not allowing photography inside the halls. Good photographs would only enhance the popularity of this historic heritage structure.

Ahsan Manzil Museum is a great historical reminder of the great generosity and visionary responsibility of these Nabab Family Members in establishing the Dhaka University, Ahsanullah Engineering Survey School, later the Ahsanullah Engineering College, which is now the prestigious BUET - Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology... The also established the Mitford Salimullah Medical College... Probably also contributed to the Dhaka Medical College...
Established the first drinking water supply system in the Dhaka City... etc etc etc
.
It is a great journey down the memory lane, which the current young 🌱🌿 generation should visit and pay homage to those great visionaries and pioneering leaders to build the foundations of this Dhaka City and the Country ..
