SALIMA KHANOM GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL in Paschimbagh Bhadeswar was set up as a primary school for girls by Gous Ahmed (1915-1989) around 1948. He was a contractor during World War II (1939-45) and a man of vision. He named the school after his mother.
