In Manigaon village near Jadukata river in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj district, a Shimul tree garden has been built over an area of more than 100 bighas. On the other side of the river are the Meghalaya hills of India, the magical Maya (Zadu Kata) river in the middle, and on the other side a procession of red flowers, the chirping of birds.
In 2002, rich businessman Zainal Abedin, the former chairman of Badaghat Union Parishad, took the initiative to plant shimul trees on his 2,400 square meters of land near Jadukata River in Manigaon village of Sunamganj. He planted about three thousand shimul trees. The shimul trees that grow day by day have now become a shimul garden. Along with the garden, a lemon garden has also been developed.
When spring comes, two thousand shimul trees are full of flowers. The flowers of the garden bloom in the light of Fagun. To quench the thirst of the eyes, hundreds of tourists from different parts of the country come every day to see the tiny red Shimul flowers blooming in the huge Shimul garden at the foothills of Tanguar Haor, Meghaloy hills and in the middle of Magical Zadukata river. In the afternoon of spring, the red color of the shimul with its petals is enough to color the mind, and the heart is fond of waking up. It's like a desert decorated with the colors of fantasy. On the other side are the Meghalaya hills of India, the magical river in the middle and the Shimul forest on the other side. All together have created an excellent poetry of nature.

This tourist destination is truly remarkable, boasting enchanting rivers and nearby mountains that add to its allure. Visitors can witness two distinct sceneries across different seasons: from January to April, vibrant red Shimul flowers bloom, while the monsoons transform the garden into a lush green landscape. Throughout the year, a large number of visitors gather here to experience its beauty. Additionally, tourists have the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding within this garden. In winter, the deep crimson hue of the Shimul flowers brings a sense of fulfillment and adds to the park's charm.
