If you ever visit Ramu, you should visit this temple first. The CNG or auto driver will not want to take you there but tell them that you want to visit that first anyhow.
Local name of this temple is Rankut.
A very peaceful place.

This is one of the most ancient temples for the Hindu community. Lord Shree Ram, The God/Avatar (God of Treta era, according to hindu mythology) is worshiped here together with Lord Lakshman and Shita devi. there is also a shiba temple. Together with that In the temple premise, there is Holy Buddha temple also. The temple premise is very naturally very beautiful place in a hill top plateau, located in Ramu, cox'sbazar District.

অসাধারণ পৌরাণিক স্মৃতি সমৃদ্ধ। হিন্দুদের একটি মহা তীর্থস্থান। ভগবান শ্রীরামচন্দ্রের পদার্পণ হয়েছিল এই জায়গায়।

১) ত্রেতাযুগের শেষার্ধে খ্রীস্টপূর্ব ২৮০০ অব্দে শ্রীশ্রীরামচন্দ্র, সীতাদেবী এবং লক্ষ্মণ পঞ্চবটীতে (রামকুট)আসেন। শ্রীশ্রীরামচন্দ্রের নাম থেকেই রামু নামের উৎপত্তি।
২) দক্ষিন পূর্ব এশিয়ার ইতিহাস সমৃদ্ধ জনপদ রামু। এখানে বলে রাখা ভাল বর্তমানে রামু হল কক্সবাজার জেলার একটি উপজেলা। গ্রীসের ভূগোলবিদ টলেমির মানচিত্রে রামুর উল্লেখ আছে - খ্রীস্টপূর্ব ২০০ অব্দে ( আজ থেকে ২২০০ বছর আগে)
৩) অনুমান করা হয় এইখানে আরাকান রাজা চেন্দি ষষ্ঠ শতাব্দীতে ( আজ থেকে ১৪২০ বছর আগে) রাংকুট দক্ষিণ বৌদ্ধ জাদি স্থাপন করেন।
