Kichukhon Restora

Kichukkhon. Its an 45 years old restaurant in old dhaka. Established was 1978.

I was there in a winter evening. Have hot soup, cutlet and crispy chicken fry with salt, special spices, green chilli with vinegar, salad and sauce.

Environment was quite noisy and rush hour also. Foodies people come, eat, gossiping, pay bills and gone. It’s a regular scenario here. Cutlet taste was average to me but chart reminds me that this cutlet price is only twenty taka. And the cutlet was hot and crispy. I ate it with sauce and bit salt. Than took chicken fry. Very crispy and tasty also. Taste was very good. Then I took a corn soup with egg. They provide a piece of lemon with the dish. I mixed lemon, bit salt, green chilli of vinegar. Then have it. Taste was good. Very thicker. It takes time because it was hotter.

The wall was full of many photos. They are very familiar to us like Kazi nazrul islam, Rabindranath tagore, Sarat chandra and many others. Actually the founder was a very literature critic person. Many poet and writer usually came there and gossip with him. And they were his friend also.

I know about this restaurant from online news paper. Read twice and mark this place in google map.

The atmosphere of the restaurant takes you back to the olden times, the food price is cheap and tastes good. The soup is recommended.

I just love this restaurant. You will get delicious chicken corn soup at only 40 taka. You can find the restaurant as heritage. The place is a gem in Old Dhaka.

It's a place with fresh morning breakfast which is most popular of puran Dhaka.
But the atmosphere is bit odd to adjust for girls.

This restaurant started its journey in 1978 on Keshab Banerjee Road in Sutrapur of old Dhaka, they are quite famous because of their food items among which chops, cutlets and chicken fries are very popular items.

Also, chicken corn soup has some special features that make it different from others. The accompanying raw chilli water and mustard batter Jol is incomparable.
Considering the taste and quality, the price is quite cheap compared to others.
It gets quite crowded from evening onwards so you may have to wait 20 to 25 minutes to get a seat.

Old restaurant in old town. Their food quality is sterling with moderate price.
Staffs are amiable.

The cutlets were super tasty, you can dine in and even can take out (parcel)

Food quality good

A legendary cafe of old dhaka.
This is not a very clean or posh restaurant but this is the place where you can find the real vibe of old dhaka. Foods are excellent in quality, authentic and cheap. You can try anything you want.
BTW, this restaurant is always busy at evening. So get some time before you visit there. Enjoy your time at OLD DHAKA 🙂

Historic place…still maintaining their own recipes…..I hope always do so….as we have lot of memories of this place….would definitely recommend

From 1978 it is still going on in full effort...
you can't get a seat immediately. After waiting some times you will find a seat to taste chicken catlet, soup.

A truly healthy dish in town!
Simple, delicious, and it made with all sorts of ingredients, you can’t go wrong with this soup. No matter where you live in Dhaka city, you should try their soup.

This retro themed restaurant is actually a time capsule. My father used to go to this restaurant, I grew up loving it and I still remain a happy customer. There are lots of hyped up restaurants who claim they are the "real deal", but very few can match up to the expectation. Kichukhon is a family owned restaurant that still delivers the 80's vibe while putting hot vintage recipe foods on the table and a smile on your face. Although the place is small and gets a little crowded but in Puran that shouldn't be an issue. A good underrated restaurant that still serves it's customers with the same level of deliciousness and hospitality. Definitely recommended.
