The place is just awesome and It's discipline is also standards. None one can stay at National Martyrs ' Monument after evening. This is entry free and its overalls architecture, buildings and decorations is fantastic. There is also a kutir shilpo market just opposite to the national martyrs' monument. After a long time I went there. I really love the place. My heart automatically sank in sadness. However, this time there were too many people. I was really surprised to see that there was no dustbin for the visitors and the people of Bangladesh are the dirtiest. They never learned how to distinguish between living in a slam or sophisticated living. I would like the authority to take care of this matter.

The National Martyrs Monument have been built on 44 hectares of land in Sabar Upazila, 35 km from Dhaka, in 1982 in memory of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 Liberation War. The 150-foot-tall monument is made up of seven pairs of triangular concrete walls. The walls are arranged in order from smallest to largest. These seven pairs of walls indicate the seven different phases of the freedom movement.

A historical place with wonderful natural beauty. A good place to spend time in peace. You can bring your family and kids here. The area is huge and open for all for free. No food available inside the area. Food quality outside the area isn't satisfactory. Beggars are disturbing and the area wasn't as clean as expected.

It is an entirely wheelchair accessible place to explore with family and friends. Even you can place flower wreaths as a gesture of respect to the martyrs being on wheelchair.
As a commissioned officer in the Bangladesh Army, I had the privilege of serving as the Contingent Commander of the Guard of Honor at the National Martyrs' Monument for an extensive period of over two years, spanning from 1996 to 1997.
