One of the largest power generating facilities in Bangladesh. Situated right beside Meghna river. The water from Meghna river is used for cooling purposes.

It is a great experience for me because it is my hometown also my favorite location in my area . I'm also studying in this company school.

Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd. is a Government owned public limited company and the largest power hub in Bangladesh. This power station plays a significant role in the national economic development by generating more than 15% of total demand for electricity in the country.

A group of 32 students and 2 faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Prime University visited Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited on 25 February 2017 as a part of their field experience programme. Students were visited both 770 MW steam-based thermal power plant and 1125 MW combined-cycle power plant. The day-long industrial tour was jointly organized by the IEEE IUB Student Branch and IEEE IUB Industry Application Society. In this industrial tour to the largest power plant in Bangladesh, students were accompanied by Dr. M. Mostak Ahmed , the Head of the EEE Department. During the visit, students were briefed of the various sections of the power plant, by the power station engineers, which include the generators room, boiler section, cooling section, power organizers and the temperature management room. Students were also visited the transmission control room, load management and monitoring room, generating substations and distribution switch terminals. Apart from the demonstration, a lecture session was also organized for the students on the overall working procedure of this important power plant. Finally, a question and answer session provided good insight into the operations, protocols and machines of this important key point installation of the country. It was a significant opportunity for the students of EEE major to gain practical experience of visiting the largest power plants of Bangladesh and acquire knowledge about the practical applications of their classroom-based study.

We've visited APSCL for a industrial tour from our versity. This plant is neat and clean. Their behaviour and hospitality so impressive.

This company contribute in electricity in our National greed. It is situated near Ashuganj city. It is located on the bank of voirob river. Facilities for the employees is good enough.

The top rated and most important power plant in Bangladesh. The station generating electricity since 1970 with 64 MW capacity and now It's reached to 1756 MW. Also another 400 MW plant installation project ongoing. A very beautiful place near by the Meghna river. This company pay higher wage to employees. This plant is based on natural gas.

This place has one of the biggest power station in Bangladesh.But for expanding of this station they are engulfing river.Please stop this. Without this this is a wonderful place..There are demirits too of this place which is that they are engulfing the river to make more space for the power plant which is not good for our future times.

I visited here. It's a big power generation company in Bangladesh. Most of the plant is gas based. The station is located beside the famous river. It's control room is well equipped with modern apparatus.

Ashuganj Power Station is the second largest power station in Bangladesh. The present total power (electricity) generation capacity of its 9 units is 1061 MW. Right now (2016), It is the highest electricity supplier to national power grid providing one-sixth (16%) of the total production of electricity in Bangladesh. It is situated in a serene riverside area of Ashuganj, approximately 90 Kilometer far from the capital city Dhaka.

One of the most important power plants in Bangladesh owned by the government of Bangladesh. It generates a lot of MW everyday. It is large. There is enough security here.

Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd. is a Government owned public limited company and the largest power hub in Bangladesh. The present total power (electricity) generation capacity of its 08 units is 1690 MW. As a part of the Power Sector Development and Reform Program of the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd.

(APSCL) has been incorporated under the Companies Act 1994 on 28 June 2000. The Registration No. of APSCL is 40630 (2328) /2000. Ashuganj Power Station (APS) Complex (with its Assets and Liabilities) had been transferred to the APSCL through a Provisional Vendor’s Agreement signed between BPDB and APSCL on 22 May 2003.

All the activities of the company started formally on 01 June 2003. From that day the overall activities of the Company along with operation, maintenance and development of the Power Station are vested upon a Management Team consisting of the Managing Director, the Executive Director (Engineering), the Executive Director (P & P) & the Executive Director (Finance).

According to the Articles of Association of the Company, 99.99% of total shares is held by BPDB and restof the shares are distributed among Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning, Power Division, MOPEMR & Energy Division Electricity generated in this power station is supplied to the national grid and it is distributed to the consumers throughout the whole country through the national grid. This power station plays a significant role in the national economic development by generating more than 15% of total demand for electricity in the country.

In this power station, Natural Gas from Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Ltd. is used as fuel. Water from the Meghna is used through in-take channels for steam generation and cooling of generated steam. Used water (for cooling) is again thrown into the Meghna river through discharge channels. It is known that about 36,000 acres of land of Ashugan,Sarail& Brahmanbaria Upazilla are irrigated by this water.

Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd. is a Government owned public limited company and the largest power hub in Bangladesh.
It is located near to the Titas Gas field and at the bank of river meghna. It consists of 1627 megawatt units.

This is the first public private partnership based power station. Also the largest in Bangladesh. It has three energy sources: water, gas & coal. It is developing day by day.

Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd. (APSCL) is a power company which generates and distributes electricity to various customers. The company generates electricity through two thermal power plants and combined cycle power plant. APSCL operates through seven generating units comprising five steam turbine unit, one gas turbine and one gas engine. It uses natural gas for power generation. The company undertakes projects such as MW Modular Power Plant Project, and Combined Cycle Power Plant.

This is the leading and oldest power generation company in Bangladesh. By 2030 it is planning to increase its capacity near about 7000MW.
