এটি ১৯৯৪ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। প্রতিষ্ঠাকালীন সময়ে এর নাম ছিল কক্সবাজার নার্সিং ইনস্টিটিউট। কক্সবাজার সদর হাসপাতালের পশ্চিম পাশে প্রায় ৮০ শতাংশ জমি নিয়ে লাইব্রেরি, শ্রেণীকক্ষ ও কার্যালয় মিলে দ্বিতলবিশিষ্ট অ্যাকাডেমিক ও তিন তলার হোস্টেল ভবন নিয়ে চলছে ইনস্টিটিউটের কার্যক্রম। বর্তমানে এ প্রতিষ্ঠানে ‘ডিপ্লোমা ইন নার্সিং সাইন্স অ্যান্ড মিডওয়াইফারি’ ও ‘ডিপ্লোমা ইন মিডওয়াইফারি’ এই দুটি কোর্স চালু রয়েছে। দুই কোর্স মিলিয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানটির নিয়মিত শিক্ষার্থীর সংখ্যা ১৭৫ জন। কলেজটির অবকাঠামো বেশ অনুন্নত। এর ভবনের সংস্কার করে আবাসিক শিক্ষার্থীদের সুযোগ-সুবিধা আরো বৃদ্ধি করা দরকার।

It was established in 1994. At the time of establishment, its name was Cox's Bazar Nursing Institute. The activities of the institute are going on with a two-storied academic and three-storied hostel building along with library, classrooms and offices on the west side of Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital with about 0.8 acre land. At present, these two courses 'Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery' and 'Diploma in Midwifery' are running in this institution. The number of regular students of the institute is 175 people in two courses. The infrastructure of the college is quite underdeveloped. Facilities for residential students need to be increased by renovating its building.
