Captain Hiram Cox Filling Station

Captain Cox Filling Station is the biggest fuel station in Cox's Bazar district. It is adjacent to Cox's Bazar Central Bus Terminal. Being next to Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway is very convenient in terms of getting fuel. However, there is some problem in the unnecessary parking of various types of vehicles in front of the entrance of the fuel station, it is necessary to give some attention to this matter.

It's a big fuel station in Cox's Bazar city. Situated in front of central bus terminal of Cox's Bazar. Very busy and service is not so bad.

I found there fuel quality better than Trust or Clean fuel of Dhaka. Smoother drive back to Dhaka. Quantity is also accurate. AMEX, MASTERCARD, VISA CARDS are accepted here.

A CNG and Auto Rikshaw stand near by the filling station. One is for kolatoli - Sugondha way. And another is for Bazar Ghata ( main shopping area) - police station ( Gum Gash Tola) - Hotel Hollyday circle.

Another minibus goes Ramu and Eidgah from Cox's Bazar.

After mid night few microbuses goes for Chittagong, although those might have some security concerns but on emergency local people use those.

There few hotels and restaurants nearby. Local people use those. Few medicine shops around it.

So for local people it's a communication hub.

The name Captain Cox, involved with the history of Cox'sbazar. So the filling station carrying the historical inspiration by its name.

fuel quantity is very good. i bought 900 taka octane & drove to Dhaka . my tank had still 2 ltr fuel when i reached dhaka

Please avoid this area. This area very dangerous. Lot of theives are here. Be alert.... be careful... specially the beside of filling station & bus terminal(who are going to be Teknaf road)
