Serene historical village by the river. Lots of old jamindar villas to check out. Make sure you dont invade the residents privacy too much. Also check out the 300 y/o banyan tree island.

This was a good experience. But my suggesion is to be aware at that place so that you can avoid the trap from local people.

I have recently visited 'Birulia Jamindar Bari'. It is located near Turag river in Birulia Village. The century old historical architecture still amazes us. Classical 150 plus years belonged to traders on river side but has left and now occupied by new tenants

A great nearby spot can go there from Uttara easily and mirpur too

A century old manor house doesn't seem to need a review!
I didn't think that there would be such an old house near Uttara, so I was surprised while cycling.
It will be very nice to go, calm environment.

Birulia is a place which is situated in Ashulia thana.
On that village there is a Jomidar Bari
Which is older more than 100 years.
The old buildings are still there.
People lives in there. Those people are probably Hindu.

If you live near Birulia then you can visit this place. Or if you come from far away than believe me it will be a waste of your time....

Birulia is a very small village under Ashulia Thana of Savar Upazila. Legends say that Birulia was once a very rich residential area with a complex of Buildings belonging to the classical essence of architecture.

It is located on the banks of the Turag River, once was an important part of the Bhawal Estate. It has been said that Birulia was a center for Zamindars who were responsible to govern a broader area nearby Savar and parts of Kaliakoir, adjacent areas of Sripur, some other areas of Gazipur, and Mirpur and Gabtoli area, which are under Dhaka presently. I love to visit this place...

Nice historical place in Savar.

It’s an unbelievable place within 5 kilometres distance from Dhaka city. You can explore and enjoy whole day here as a travel person as well as an archeological guy.
