What a place this is! Everything is great here, delicious food, good quality products, excellent service, friendly atmosphere and fair prices. We had the pleasure of being in this place several times during out stay in Hvar, all the dishes were delicious, both meat and fish/seafood, but the octopus under the peka stole my heart. I highly recommend this place, we've been to Croatia several times and this was probably the best restaurant overall.

Such a beautiful place!!! We came here twice during our stay on the island, everything is so good. The waiters are super friendly and the place is beautifully arranged. The veal peka is unforgettable, and the wines we had are free with the peka! Will definitely come back if we visit Hvar again

If you want to try local food, this is a place to go for it.
Relaxing atmosphere with really good food.
You should try "peka", octopus is mine recommendation, take home wine with it.
Parking is assured, prices are not expensive and waiters are friendly.

The best dinner we had on Hvar island! We didn’t regret driving 35 minutes from Hvar Town for this. It felt like having a dinner at the loving grandma’s backyard. The staff was smiling, the chef (who managed the oven in the garden) was singing, creating such happy vibes. We had octopus carpaccio and beefsteaks with fig and sage sauce - both tasted 100/10. I was sad we couldn’t try octopus peka (mentioned in previous reviews) because you need to order it 3 hours in advance, so keep that in mind. White house wine was great too. Overall, highly recommended if you are around Hvar.

Maybe the best restaurant in Hvar! The octopus as a starter was really good, the steak variation was more than fabulous and the chocolate cake afterwards was excellent! They have very kind service and a wonderful ambiance! It’s definitely worth all the long way up there, and it’s not expensive.

We have ordered peka, 3 hours in advance, lamb with potatoes. It was delicious, as well as chicken and sea fruit risotto.

A small hint, there are some dishes cooked in the oven that need to be ordered in advance.

Friendly staff and the best wine!!! Try “hobotnica ispod peke”, it is full new experience! Fish plata is also great, and olive oil. You can also buy olive oil and wine, all domestic products!

Best place we eat in Hvar. Food was delicious, fresh and tasty. Service was wonderful as well, for a long time I haven seen such professional but warm and genuine waiter. Chef was singing while grilling fish. Happy place. Great ambience. Thank you.

We simply love this place. Food is amazing no matter what you choose, prices are affordable, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a big private parking. Make sure you have a reservation in high season. They were fully booked for two days last time we called, and this is not a small restaurant!

A must visit of island Hvar! Warm service, wonderful food. Highly recommend trying peka which needs to be ordered at least 3 hours in advance.

Oh wow! What a blast!
We spend 3 nights on Hvar and have been to Konoba Vrisnik every night. It is easily one of the best Croatian-Mediterranean restaurants we have ever been to. Everything on the menue is divine - we had the octopus peka, steak with figs and sage, homemade gnocchi with prawns, the platter „Vrisnik“ for two and the cooked octopus. We cannot say what meal was the best. Everything had a very fine taste, nothing was too spicy, all meals were perfectly seasoned.
They have homemade rakija in very interesting flavors: we recommend to try the fig and myrtle one.
And in addition to that you sit in a beautiful garden surrounded by summer flowers. Of course the waiters were wonderfully lovely.
Thank you so much for the nice evenings we had - we will definitely come back!
