We'd been misinformed by Google about a restaurant that had five stars but didn't survive COVID closure , yet it worked out because we were told about a great local place, Staklo. My only regret is that we couldn't try everything. Food is selected from counter and then brought to you seated. They only take Bosnian Marks, which is fine because the price is right. Everything tasted homemade, and as a perpetually sheepish tourist I was relieved to see we were the only tourists there ++ was obviously a local spot. Highly Recommend

Today we visited a wonderful restaurant in Sarajevo and I couldn't have been more impressed. The local cuisine was simply outstanding, and each dish was bursting with unique and delicious flavors. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was top-notch. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly exceptional meal in the heart of Sarajevo

Looks from the outside like a tourist trap but it is not (even if there are many in old town).
The Bosnian pasta (Klepe) was freshly made and delicious. the value for money is great and below tourist prices. The staff was friendly. the ambient is nice with a modern touch.
Don't be irritated of less locals sit in the restaurant. When we sit there we saw many locals take the food for take-away for lunch.

If you have any intention of tasting typical Bosnian cuisine, this is the place for you! This is the place with story, history, tradition, and, not to forget the most important one - great food! A warm recommendation to everyone! Visit Staklo (literal translation - Glass...The story behind the name is as awesome as the food is...).

Well, best homemade traditional non gril Bosnian food you can find in Sarajevo Baščaršija. Not very salty, jet very tasty. Definitely will come back and can not recommend more then this. What ever you order, you won't be disappointed. Atmosphere is authentic old town Bosnian and services well very hospitable

Nice, cosy place, very attentive and friendly staff, great food (especially liked čorba and dolma), prices also very reasonable. Definitely recommend. Perfect for takeaways, too.

Amazing breakfast place. That being said, I haven't tried the other options so not sure but the offered breakfast Staklo for 7 KM is not just cheap, it's extensive. Service is amazing, even for a group of 20 there was no mixups and despite the restaurant not having any more tea, the staff took care of it and somehow got tea from another restaurant for us.

Tasty home-made food! We ordered chicken with sauce, goulash and salad. Everything was delicious. Prices are average, we paid for 3 plates 26 bam.

THE BEST ⭐⭐⭐ simply the best food in Saravejo 🧡 During my stay in the city I went several times and everyday was better than the day before 😋 So delicious food and really pleasant place. FREE wifi and very clean toilet. Staff were very gentle and helpful! Repeat: THE BEST

We had our last outdoor breakfast here while in Sarajevo. The lady was polite and was patient enough to explain us the contents of all items on display. The food was fresh and well prepared. We would recommend all tourists to visit this place at least once for any meal of the day.

Great restaurant of bosnian food in the heart of the old bazar quarter (Baščaršija) of Sarajevo. Tasty, waiters are nice and locals eat despite it is in a tourist area. A good option around this area.

This place has great traditional Bosnian food. The prices are really ok. The staff is polite and well trained. It feels like home.

Staklo, a strange name for the restaurant (literally 'glass') is somehow unique at Bascarsija. I consider it as one of the healthier places around, since most of Bascarsija is about cevapi, bureks and other local fatty, cholesterol rich food.
Here you can order in two ways: pick something from daily catering selection or choose something from menu.
Probably, it has the friendliest and most courteous staff in this part of the town. The place is clean and modern.
