Coming from an Italian background you tend to sometines continue the same traditions your parents exposed you too growing up.

This is my 'go to' for freshly grated parmesan cheese, different sized buckets of ovolini/boconcini (white cheese in water).

L'Ionica has now become a 'one stop shop'. They started out as just a fresh chicken retailer... over the years they have evolved and now have a smorgasbord of different cuts of chicken or other meats, pre-marinated, crumbed, stuffed fresh for you to take home and just cook. They have done the hard work for... so you can just enjoy your meal.

On entry to the store they also have fresh fruit & vegetables and product ranging from an Italian groceries (that I am accustomed to) to fresh or aged dairy products, pre-packaged meals, dry food products and a small deli with lunch meat and snacks.

No more Bleach flavor..I can't eat another chicken. Due to the quality prices are a bit higher then $4 a chicken (which I find very suspicious!!) You can buy a chicken (20) for $ 13 which is really cheap..
Lots of options in pieces (High thigh skin on /off, Maryland (open no bone etc etc)

I always buy my chicken from here. I only buy free range and im always happy they even cut my chicken breast for snitzhel. Very fresh. There continental sausages are really nice also....

I love the La Ionica outlet. If you like your chicken to actually taste like chicken, want to buy in bulk at excellent prices (or just do your regular shop if you're close enough) and super fresh because it was processed that day this is the place to go. Other chicken just doesn't taste as good and that's because La Ionica doesn't process the chicken with bleach (who wants to be eating bleach!).

People who have any clues shouldn't complain about this place; it's called La Ionica as they process their own branded chicken on site. The stock they sell is fresh daily & it really shows.
My family loves making traditional chicken broth, which is perfect with two size 12 chickens.
Please note: la ionica chicken really is the best chicken here! Don't bother with other branded stuff as you're wasting your time. Bannockburn may be free range, but i have tried it several times myself & it cannot compare to the companies own brand.
Also on a side note i occasionally buy small goods from the deli also located in the same complex. The lady there is super friendly (as are most of the staff), and the pricing is quite competitive compared to other places.
Not much to complain about here.. During busy times like weekends you really do need to take a ticket and wait to be served, but this only proves the popularity of this place is founded on solid sales of quality goods. Thank you La Ionica & keep up the great work!
